Rose's p.o.v.
We stayed up the whole night, talking about our families. I told them how I used to get along fine with Lily and Petunia and my hard decision to come here. I still remembered her resentment and pleading eyes but I simply couldn't. I had to come to Beauxbatons. I knew it in my gut. Parting from her wasn't pleasant but I knew I had to face her sooner or later. Why, we're going home for Christmas today.
"I can't wait to spend Christmas at your place!" Autumn gushed excitedly, throwing her things into her trunk messily.
I thought of her life sadly and felt a wave of protectiveness that was nearly overwhelming.
"You're gonna have the best Christmas ever. I'd assure you that." I squeezed her hand fondly and she smiled.
"Oh, right! I have to find Will!" She gasped as if suddenly remembering the incident at the ball.
"So, do you actually like him?" Hazel asked slyly.
"Well, he's kinda cute. I don't know. I'll talk it with him first, I think." Autumn mumbled.
"Good for you! Now, go and I'll pack for you." I shooed her out of the dorm.
"Thanks! I owe you one!" She smiled sheepishly at me.
"Nonsense. Go find your soon-to-be boyfriend." With a roll of her eye, she departed in a whirl.
Autumn's p.o.v.
"Hey, Will." I said awkwardly, finding him outside the Ombrelune Tower.
"Look, I'm so sorry about the ball, I just don't know how to react. Yes, you're kinda cute and I just..." I rambled on but he stopped me.
"You don't need to apologise. It was me that rushed things too quickly." He stopped me rambling and looked at me sincerely with his grey eyes. I looked into the depths of his eyes and thought that they reminded me of Sirius.
"Umm..." I fidgeted nervously as I played with my hair. I seriously wasn't any good in relationships to be honest.
"So, doyouwanttogooutwithme?" He mumbled, blushing furiously. Gods, he was adorable with his flushed pink cheeks and cute dimples.
"What?" I asked, shocked. This is real awkward.
"Well, if you don't want to... We can be just friends..."
I couldn't resist it anymore. Standing on tiptoes, I kissed him full on his lips. His soft lips grazed mine gently but full of yearning all the same. I pushed myself closer towards him and deepened the kiss. Our lips met perfectly and I inhaled his scent almost greedily. He smelt of fresh books and chocolate.
Gasping for air, we broke apart, grins on our faces. His lips were swollen, his silver blue tie messy and his robes crumpled but I didn't care. He pressed a last sweet kiss on my cheek and smiled brightly.
"I don't want us to be just friends. I want you, Will Alison." I breathed out. His smile was like the sun as my heart melted.
"And I want you too, Autumn Rivers." He laughed through his words.
"Have a good Christmas." He gave me a small kiss on my lips.
"You too! See you after Christmas!" I waved shyly. My heart was racing like crazy as I calmed my breathing but with no avail. Walking with a new spring in my step, I sped towards the common room, only to be bombarded with questions.
