Autumn's p.o.v.

Wow was the only one word that I managed to exclaim. Dozens of magnificent winged horses pulled powdered blue carriages that will eventually bring us to Beauxbatons. It was so exciting!

Gingerly, I patted the silky white fur of the horses, grinning as it nuzzled me lovingly. "Hey, you're taking us there, aren't you?" I thought in my mind. "Of course. I'm proud to serve Beauxbatons. Anyhow, you're the first human ever to be able to talk to me. You must be really powerful." A whiny horsey voice answered me as I jumped.

"Is that you umm talking?" I murmured uncertainly. "Course it is." The horse gave a small chuckle. I swear that his eyes seemed amused.

"Well...powerful, I don't know, but I'm really excited! I guess I'll ride in your carriage then." I dumped my trunk into the spacious carriage. It had been enlarged with charms and it was the size of a mini apartment. Gawking, I simply stared until a voice jolted me out of my senses. "Hey! Are you done gawking over there?" A clear voice laughingly pulled me over. "Err, hi?" I blinked in confusion while greeting the girl but it came out more like a question than a greeting. Adjusting, I focused more on her features. She had stunning emerald green eyes and wavy auburn hair. Her petite nose and heart-shaped face made her look like a cute puppy. "Hi! I'm Rosalil Evans. I'm in my first year too! Aren't you excited?" She greeted me enthusiastically. "I'm Autumn Rivers. And yes, I'm sooo excited that I'm literally bursting." With that, my hair, again, embarrasingly switched between a hurricane of colours, showing my emotions far too clearly. I scowled when she gasped.

"You're a..."

"Yeah, metamorphmagus. I get that all the time." I grumbled.

"That's just so cool! I thought metamorphmaguses are really rare!" Rosalil bounced around, examining my hair like it was a piece of antique.

"Come on, it's just coloured hair. Cool down, Rose." I shook my head. "No way! I can't believe it that my friend is a freakingly awesome metamorphmagus!" Smirking, I had a feeling that we will be besties seeing our mutual craziness and enthusiasm.

Just then, more people filled in our carriage and we retreated to our compartment. "So, which house would you like to be in?" I asked her after a huge effort of calming her down.

"Bellefuerille of course!" She shrieked.

"Me too. I simply can't imagine another house that suits me and my boldness, though I rather say my tendency to get into trouble." She giggled and the topic of pranks surfaced. I then knew that she had a twin sister attending Hogwarts. "Hogwarts sounds cool, but I prefer Beauxbatons, really. I can't wait to see the architectual!" She gushed.

"So you got letters from both schools?" I queried.

"Yeah, but I chose Beauxbatons. Lily said that it's a school for stuck-up beauty queens though."

"Come on, do I look like a 'stuck-up beauty queen'?" I faked a hurt that made her snort with laughter.

"I'm glad I've found someone similar to me. After 11 years of living together with Lily who's all prim and proper, it's good to have a change." We chatted non-stop until a familiar horsey voice rang in my head.

"We're almost there, Autumn. I can see a glimpse of Beauxbatons." I turned around to the windows of the carriage.

"Woah..." I pulled Rose towards the windows as we admired the gorgeous castle. Our home, we're coming.
