Amara's POV
Lunch had just ended and I was anxious to see if the plan had worked. I get to my locker and see that my note had disappeared. I quickly open my locker and another note falls out. It worked!!
You'll find out soon enough. I don't think I can stay hidden for long. And I want you more than anything. Just you and nothing else. - C
Even though the plan worked, this note didn't tell me anything about who C is. I can't spend the next couple of weeks communicating with him via notes, I have exams I need to prepare for. I push the note into my pocket and start walking towards drama. I haven't seen Vincent all day and I started noticing how much of an effect he has over me.
I push the door open and see that only a few people were here and Vincent wasn't one of them. I sit at the back of the room and text, Vincent.
Where are you? Drama is about to start.
Soon everyone is here including Turner and Vincent is the only one missing.
"Okay let's start."

I barely focused on this lesson. We were given a new emotion to practise, fear, and with Vincent not here I was already scared. What if C had done something and Vincent was lying in a ditch somewhere with no phone or money?
I check my phone as we walk out of the classroom, still no text.
"Hey, you okay?" I look up and see Vanessa.
"No." I shake my head and she pulls me outside.
"What's wrong?"
"That note I got from C last night? Vincent hasn't come in today and he hasn't replied to my text!" I groan.
"Maybe he is asleep?" She tries to reason.
"I hope so! Otherwise, my mind is going to explode!"
"What happened with the bait?"
"He replied. But it's nothing good." I sigh. When can this nightmare just be over?
Vanessa pulls me into a hug and I melt in. I was so exhausted with C and worrying about vincent I didn't even notice how tired I was.
"It's going to be okay."

I know Vanessa said that Vincent is probably asleep and there is nothing to worry about but I couldn't get the threat out of my head. So now I was driving to Vincent's house. I sound like a crazy ex but I can't help it.
I park outside the house and ring the buzzer.
"Hello?" I call in the speaker thing.
"How can I help you?" An elderly lady speaks through.
"I'm here to see Vincent."
"What's your name?"
"Amara."
"Oh please come in!" The gates open and I am still in awe on how beautiful his house is. I walk towards the door and I see the elderly lady who I was speaking with. Her grey hair was tied in a loose bun and she was wearing a white uniform.
"Amara you are even more beautiful than what Vincent has described." She pulls me into a hug and I'm shocked that Vincent talks about me to his staff.
"Thank you," I say once we pull apart.
"Oh, where are my manners? I'm Julie. Come in!" She steps aside and I walk in with her. "I'm the housekeeper. It sounds more serious than what it is. I'm in charge of all the staff and make sure that everything is running smoothly." I nod. "I'm sorry I am very chatty. I've made fresh cookies and they are still warm if you want some?" I chuckle and we walk into the kitchen.
