Chapter 29

I look at her with disbelief in my eyes. The girl I trusted with everything, I told her everything and let her comfort me when C was torturing me and she was working with him all along?

"Vanessa?"

She stood in her ball dress and with a sickly sweet smile on her face.

"Surprise bestie!"

"What the fuck is going on?"

"Chris is my brother," Vanessa says and I look at her confused. "Stepbrother."

"So you know who C was?" She rolls her eyes at me.

"He started sending the notes because I told him too." My face loses all its colour as she continues to speak. "Chris came home after the first day last year and he couldn't stop gushing about how he saw the most beautiful girl ever and that he thinks he's in love. And it was as if fate would have it we became friends too on that day."

"And you didn't think to tell this psycho that he shouldn't have a crush on a student?" I could see Turner getting angry.

"No, because this wasn't supposed to happen. You weren't meant to fall in love with Vincent, you were meant to fall in love with Chris through the notes and then he was supposed to ask you out after A-Levels."

"But why did you pair me up with Vincent then? If you didn't want me near anyone else then why put me with Vincent?" I turn towards Turner.

"Because I like him." I hear Vanessa say and head whips in her direction.

"What?"

"Vanessa told me you two couldn't stand each other so I had nothing to worry about," Turner says but my eyes were still on Vanessa.

"And this was the perfect way for me to get closer to Vincent," Vanessa adds. "But then he got dared to make you fall in love with him. And your pathetic self fell for it. So now I'm going to be there for Vincent until he realises he likes me."

"What about Xander?"

"He was just a distraction. I broke up with him tonight. Anyway, I should get going. Vincent needs some comfort." She glares at me walks out of the room.

Tears start pouring down my cheeks and Turner comes in front of me quickly and wipes them away.

"Angel? Are you okay?" He asks softly and I laugh.

"I broke up with my boyfriend, got kidnapped by my teacher and found out that my best friend was just using me. So no I'm not okay." I sneer at him.

"Do you want some food?" On cue, my stomach rumbles and he chuckles. "I have some pizza upstairs." He disappears for a few minutes and then comes back with a pizza box. He doesn't open my hands and sits in front to feed me. I was too hungry to care that he was feeding me.

I eat two slices really quickly and get stuffed really easily. "That's it." I shake my head as he brings the third slice. Turner wipes my face clean and for a second I forget that I've been kidnapped.

"We should get you to bed -" I cut him off.

"What are you planning to do with me?"

"What do you mean?" He looks confused.

"Are you going to kill me?" I ask lowly and he shakes his head fast.

"No. I would never hurt you. At least not intentionally."

"Then?"

"I'm going to make you fall in love with me." He says with a smile.

"And what if I don't?"
