Amara's POV

"So I walked over to his house in nothing and a tank and shorts and told him to shut his awful music because I couldn't sleep!" Xander laughs as we walk into Psychology.

"At least he was hot." He shrugs and I fake a gasp.

"We shouldn't be objectifying men like that." I start taking my stuff out. We both sit down and give our essays to Mr Anderson.

"Now that I have all your essays, we can begin with the lesson." He starts the PowerPoint and I start taking notes.

"I have a free next so I'm going to go to the library, I'll see you at lunch," Xander nods and walks off. I open my locker and a piece of paper falls out. I groan and pick it up and I am about to put it back but I notice someone writing on it.

Amara, I like you but I could never say this to your face. I'm going to just watch from far and hope you notice me. I have to say, you look hot in red.

I start looking around to see if I can see anyone who would write a note like this. The corridor was completely empty by now, everyone was in their lessons. The only person I could think of doing this is Raven. This probably is some dumb prank for me insulting them yesterday. I roll my eyes and stuff the note into my pocket and grab the stuff I need for the next period.

"Hi Mrs Smith," She smiles at me and I walk upstairs to get a free table to work. I see the back table was empty and I go sit there. Midway of me writing my essay, someone pulls out the chair opposite me and I look up. Vincent stood there and I saw his lips move but my music was too loud. I pause my AirPods and he notices that I couldn't hear.

"I asked if I could sit with you?" I look around and see that most of the tables were empty.

"There are other tables that are empty you know." I point with my hand.

"I wanted to say sorry. For what I said in the canteen yesterday." He says and I saw that he was genuine.

"It's okay. I kind of overreacted too. I don't take people talking about my past too well." I chuckle a little.

"Yeah, I saw that yesterday." He chuckles back and takes a seat. Smooth.

"Wow, I didn't know you were capable of laughing." I sarcastically say and he laughs again, this time louder.

"Quiet up there!" Mrs Smith calls out.

"Sorry!" I call back and turn to Vincent again.

"You don't half the things I am capable of." He winks at me and I roll my eyes. "What you doing after school today?"

"Nothing at the moment."

"Do you want to come over so we can practice our scene?" He leans forward. I could smell his cologne from here and it was making things hazy for me.

"Yeah, I finish at 2:00." Sociology was my last lesson for the day today.

"Same, I have Maths last. I'll meet you at your locker?" He says and the bell goes off. I sigh and start packing up. I didn't even get to finish my essay.

"Sounds great." He starts picking up my things as well and hands them to when he's done. I smile and we walk out of the library talking about nothing in particular. When we get near my locker, he walks off and I open my locker and another piece of paper falls out. I quickly pick it up and open it.

I want to ask you out but I know you would never go for me - C

I had forgotten about the note for a second. I was so busy talking to Vincent, it slipped my mind. I take the other note out and see that it is the same handwriting but this one was signed by 'C'. I stuff both of them in my pocket and look around. The corridor was packed with students everywhere.
