Amara's POV:

Day 13

"Chris?"I sat in his lap playing with his shirt.

"Yeah, angel."

"I want to go out." He doesn't say anything. "Please."

"You know I can't do that. Everyone is looking for you." He pushes his hair out of his face. That was the whole point. Maybe someone would be able to see me and call the police.

"I feel suffocated here. I just want to go Tescos like a normal couple." I try sweet-talking him

"I can't. At least not right now." He moves me off his lap and gets up.

"Vincent wouldn't stop me," I say quietly as if I didn't want him to hear me but I see him stop in his step. I pretend shock that he heard me and start stuttering, "I-I didn't m-mean that." But he was already angry.

He grabs me roughly and throws me against the wall. I wince at the impact but that made no difference to Christopher.

"Never compare me to that low scumbag."

"You killed two people. I think we all know who the low scumbag is." I don't what took over me. Instead of going with my plan, I was letting it go. I was tired of acting like I liked this dickhead. I just wanted to go home.

"Maybe I should kill Vincent as well."

"Then kill me alongside him. I would let him toy with my feelings another 100 times then be with you." I push him and he stumbles back. I go upstairs and slam my door shut. My heart was beating so fast that I thought it's going to tear out of my skin and into my hand. I can't believe I just did that.

I drop to the ground letting myself go. All the emotions I had bottled up in for the last couple of days start pouring out too. My sobs echo in the room and I rock myself trying to calm myself down. It was impossible. I just kept sobbing even harder. What did I do to deserve this? I never wanted to be kidnapped. I want a normal life.

I lean against the wall and start thinking about everything. Is this going to be my life? Stuck with my kidnapper for the rest of time?

No. I won't let it. I have to do something quickly because I can feel myself going crazy. My eyes start getting tired and soon I had fallen asleep.

Vincent's POV:

Day's Amara has been missing: 14

Another week has gone by and not a single clue or lead has been found. The police were still investigating but they hadn't found anything either. School has given us a couple of weeks off so we could get prepare ourselves before coming to school. But I didn't want to go. Everything was so dull without Amara here.

The door to my room opens and Vanessa walks in.

"Hey, Vani." I give her a small smile as she walks in with two milkshakes.

"Hey, Vincent." She takes out the Vanilla milkshake and hands it to me. "I'm assuming no update?" She says in a sad voice and I nod.

"Still nothing." I sigh and sit on the bed.

"Maybe it's time we give up." My head whips when she says those words.

"What the fuck?"

"I don't want to. I really don't. But it's been two weeks and we don't know where she is." She starts walking around the room. "And it's the uncertainty that's killing us. I've been at Amara's house every day for the last week and I can see how much this uncertainty of not knowing where Amara is hurting her family." She faces the pictures on the wall, with her back towards me.
