Chapter 19

Amara's POV:

"Are you crazy? Vincent is going to kill you! Is this the reason you sent a Code Red out at 9 pm at night?" Vanessa looks at me as if I had gone crazy.

"This is an important emergency okay? You know it's been my life long dream to go see an illegal underground fight." I give her my puppy eyes and she sighs but nods. No one can resist that face.

"Okay fine! But I'm blaming you if we get caught!"

I grin and jump a little. "So the fight starts at 10 pm. I did a little research and found out that it's in an underground basement 30 minutes from here. If we leave in about 10 minutes we should be able to get there in time and not be seen."

"And how are we exactly sneaking out?"

I give her a devilish smile and look at my window.

"Oh hell no!"

"It's the only way. If you don't want to come I'll go alone." Vanessa shakes her head instantly. "Good. Because we need to change."

"Nobody said anything about changing!"

We were both dressed in a similar fashion, black jeans and a dark coloured top. Van was in a navy blue top and I was wearing a maroon top.

"I still think we should not go." 

"Come on we need to leave." I open my window up and get over the ledge. The drop was quite high and if I landed wrong I would break a bone.

I hold on to the pipe next to my window and start sliding down slowly. But then I get stuck. 

"You're stuck!" Vanessa whisper yells at me.

"No shit sherlock." I try releasing my shirt from the hook without falling.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I hear a voice and see Xander and Hazel standing below me.

"Hi, guys." My voice comes out a little high. "You traitor!" Vanessa shrugs.

"Only you would get stuck whilst sneaking out." Hazel laughs and I roll my eyes even though she couldn't see. 

"Okay, we can laugh at this later. Help me right now." 

"Mara, pull your shirt up and then pull it towards you," Xander instructed from the ground and I did that exactly.

Thump.

I fall on the ground hitting my butt first. "OW!" I yell out and then wack my hand over my mouth. 

Xander and Hazel were dying with laughter. "That was the funniest thing I have seen," Hazel says after a while. 

"Glad to be your entertainment source." I get up and dust off the dirt. 

Vanessa got over the ledge, expertly closed my window and then slid down the pipe easily and land on her feet. We all looked at her with our mouths gaped open. 

"What? I've snuck out before."

It was just past 10 pm meaning the fight had started. We get out of the car and start walking towards the dimly lit building. There were people still going in so we follow them and get to the door. 

The bouncer was holding out a stamp so we held out our wrists and got stamped. We enter the building and there was a receptionist sitting there. Her make up was heavily done and her hair was in a tight ponytail.

We get closer and she looks up to see us. "£80" I take the money out and hand it to her. She points towards the stairs and we start walking downstairs.
