"I can't believe you just failed at your attempt to make F/n-chan jealous," Osamu snickers with the other second years while they are changing. Atsumu just rolls his eyes and angrily throws his shirt into his bag. "And now you have to walk a random girl home," Osamu continues. Atsumu finishes changing and swings his bag over his shoulder.

"Leave me alone," Atsumu growls then walks out of the changing room. He walks towards the gate to see the girl there. "Hey..." Atsumu awkwardly calls out to the unknown girl who straightens up.

"Miya-san!" she squeaks. Atsumu rubs the nape of his neck.

"I don't think I can--" Atsumu is about to give her an excuse to not walk with her until he sees you walking towards them. Atsumu's pride takes over and swings his arm around the girl. "Hey, F/n-chan! Meet... this cutie that Imma take home," Atsumu smirks at you. You give him an emotionless look and nod but secretly, you feel your stomach drop.

"Get home safely," you bluntly say with no emotion like you usually do until you feel a hand on your shoulder.

"Let's go home together, F/n-san," Kita appears and you just nod. This triggers Atsumu.

'Why is she willing to walk with him home but this whole week, she's been ignoring me? I didn't even do anything wrong to her?' Atsumu clenches his hands into a tight fist. 'She's not even bothered.' It takes a good two minutes until Atsumu finally hears the girl next to him calling out his name. Atsumu looks down at the girl, "Sorry, were you calling me?"

The girl frowns, "I called you three times, Miya-san but you were too busy looking at Kita-san and L/n-san walking away." She sighs, "I can tell that you don't want to walk me home, so it's okay. I can walk home on my own." Atsumu gives her a surprised look.

"Are you sure?" Atsumu asks. The girl just nods her head.

"It's alright... I mean, you don't even know my name," she chuckles. Atsumu rubs his neck.

"Sorry... What's your name?"

"Hiko Jaine."

"Sorry for doing this to you, Hiko-chan," Atsumu puts his pride away and sincerely apologizes. He felt bad since it seemed like Hiko wasn't his usual, annoying fans. She actually seemed nice.

"It's okay, Miya-san. I understand. Goodnight," she waves then leaves. Atsumu just sighs in defeat. This whole day went terribly for him, so he decides to take a walk before heading home.

On the other hand, as you and Kita are walking home, it's quieter than usual.

"Did something happen between you and Atsumu?" he asks. You hesitate.

"I'm not entirely sure, I guess. I'm sorry I haven't been walking with you home," you apologize. Kita shakes his head.

"It's okay. Just know that if you have a problem, you can always ask me." You turn to look at him and smile. What he said had made you feel a little bit better.

"Thank you Shin-chan. It means a lot to me, knowing that I can rely on you." Kita blushes a little when he sees your smile and turns away.

"Of course. That's what friends do," he says.

After Kita and you get home--what seems like faith--you also decide to take a stroll. Since it was Friday, Rina was invited to a sleepover, so she wasn't home. Unconsciously, Atsumu ends up at the park near your neighborhood. This was the park he first got to really know the true you and met up with you and Rina.

'Why do I always have you on my mind?' he asks himself. Yes, he's had his share of crushes when he was younger, but love was never a priority to him. Volleyball was much important and more interesting. The only interesting thing about girls is how he can make them feel; to him, it was fun and pride-building to see the girls swoon over him. It just felt weird when you wouldn't do the same. However, it was also interesting. As you are walking past the park, you see a figure sitting on the bench. When you look closer, you see that it's Atsumu. You quickly hide yourself behind the tree and place a hand over your chest.

'Why am I hiding?' you ask yourself. For some reason, you felt bothered on your way home, so you decided to take a walk to clear your mind. However, the entire time your mind kept thinking about Atsumu and how he made you feel. Your heart would race when he was near and when he didn't give his usual attention to you, your stomach would twist. You frown when you feel your heart racing and stand straight. 'I need to figure out why I am feeling this way and fix it!' You walk out of your hiding spot and walk towards Atsumu's sitting figure. Atsumu hears footsteps and looks up to surprisingly see you.

"F-F/n-chan?" he lowly says.

"Why did you ignore me today?" you flat out ask him which makes him jump.

'Why would she ask me that?' he thinks to himself. "Uhhh, what do you mean?"

You frown. "You didn't talk to me today like you usually would and when we were practicing, it seemed like something was off. Did I do something to offend you?" He stares in shock at your observations then rubs his neck.

"You didn't do anything wrong," he chuckles.

"You're lying," you say back and sit next to him. Atsumu freezes then sighs.

"Well, I don't know. I feel like you've been avoiding me this whole week. I don't know why you are but I don't think I did anything to you," Atsumu honestly confesses. Your eyes slightly widen then you turn away and blush a bit. You weren't sure if you wanted to tell him what you were feeling exactly but it was true.

"I'm sorry if I was avoiding you. I'm not entirely sure why I was doing it," you tell him half of the truth. "But it's not because you did something wrong, Atsumu." He looks back at you and can easily tell how honest you were. He then smiles.

"I like how easy it is to tell when you're being honest and genuine... It makes me feel better," he blurts. Your heart races when you hear him say that. He had on his rare smiles that he only showed to you; it was soft but held so much meaning.

"T... Thank you," is all you get yourself to say. It's quiet for a while until Atsumu decides to speak again.

"Uhh... Would you like to... maybe... go..." Atsumu looks around until he sees a flyer on the wall not too far from the bench. "Would you like to go to a carnival tomorrow?" Your eyes widen at his sudden request. You blink a couple of times which causes Atsumu to sweat like crazy. "It's fine if you don't want to--"

"I'll go," you interrupt him. You both just stare at each other for a while. You both feel your guys' heart race in excitement.

"Okay then... I'll pick you up at 2pm," Atsumu says as you nod. You then look at your phone and see it's already 7pm.

"I should get going," you say as Atsumu jumps up off of the bench.

"Of course. I'll walk you home," he immediately suggests as you nod. On the way home, it's quiet but peaceful. Mostly because you both are deep into your own thoughts. 'Is this considered a date?' he asks himself and feels his heart dancing in his chest. His cheeks heat up at the thought and he can't help but feel his lips twitching. You--on the other hand--are frightened/confused by your beating heart.

'What the heck is going on?' you ask yourself when you feel flutters in your stomach. Just earlier, your stomach was twisting and turning, now, it's tickling you. This was a foreign feeling for you. Once you both reach your house, it gets a little awkward. "Okay then... I guess I'll see you tomorrow, Atsumu." You rub your arm.

"I-I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, F/n-chan," Atsumu blushes. You smile.

"Goodnight. Get home safely," you say and give him a little wave. Once you're in your house, you shake and jump trying to bring back weight onto your body that feels like it's becoming oxygen. "Wahhhhhhh, why is gravity not doing its job? Why do I feel like a balloon?" you slap both hands on your cheeks. After a few minutes of doing that, you feel a smile appear on your face. "Why am I so happy?"

Translation: You are fangirling without even knowing it, F/n-chan!!
