It was a normal day for you and Rina. You went to work, you came back, picked up Rina from a friend's house, you guys went to the park to practice some volleyball, you cooked dinner, then y'all ate; it was another perfect day. Aside from the fact that whenever you were alone, your mind wandered off to think about Atsumu and his bold kiss. Since you were busy and occupied for the entire day, you still haven't had the chance to open the little box he had given you, or maybe you were trying to avoid opening it due to the butterflies you got when you stared at it.
"Rina, can you help me clean the table?" you ask as she happily nods and does as you say. Around the same time, Kita asks if Atsumu would like to come by tomorrow to pick up some game videos of their national opponents that their coach gave to Kita. He was hesitant to come--afraid that he would somehow see you if he walked to Kita's house, but as he thought about it, he somehow was able to convince himself that there wouldn't be a chance of you leaving your house in the morning. Thus, he agreed. As you and Rina are happily playing with each other once more before taking a shower, the doorbell rings. "Hmm, who could that be at this time?" you ask as you look at the clock that read 8:30pm. Walking to the door, you open it to see the person you've least expected it to be. "M-M-Mika?!"
"Why haven't you answered any of my calls for the past few days, BAKA!" The man knocks you on the head which causes you to pout.
"That's how you greet your younger sister?!" You smile as he smiles back while opening his arms. Happily, you give him a crushing hug. "I missed you so much, Mika," you say into his shoulder.
"I've missed you too, but there's something I need to talk to you about." He quickly pulls away from the hug.
"Sure! Come in; have you eaten ye--"
"No, I need to seriously speak with y--"
"Nii-san?" Rina interrupts his sentence. Growing up, Rina never spent much time with Mikage due to Rina living in Tokyo with your dad and then Mikage moving to the states.
"Rina? Is that you?" he asks and kneels down. "I haven't seen you in so many years! You've grown so much!" Mikage engulfs her in a tight hug which she happily responds to.
"I've watched so many videos of you playing, Nii-san! You're so good! You need to show me in person!" she cheers which causes Mikage's eyes to gleam even more.
"I think that's a great idea and that's why I've come here!" Mikage says and stands up straight while you stare in confusion. "Let's all sit down, first," he says. As him and Rina sit on the couch together, you quickly leave to bring some drinks for him.
"Why did you come here, Mika?" you ask as you are carrying a tray of drinks into the living room.
"Yeah! Are you going to come back and live with us?!" Rina happily asks but Mika shakes his head.
"I've come back because I want to bring Rina back to America with me!" Suddenly, your hands let go of the tray of drinks and it spills all over the floor.
"Onee-san!" Rina worriedly exclaims as you just stare at your brother.
"What do you mean?" He gives you a disapproving look.
"What I mean is, I've only spent at most a year in Rina's life and I want to raise her as well. I know you've done a great job, F/n, but think about me--"
"N-no, think about me!" you shout and tighten your fists. Rina--afraid--stares back and forth at you two. She slowly walks over to you and holds onto your leg.
"Onee-san, are you okay?" Too angry, you can't even answer, so Mikage has to speak for you.
"Rina, why don't you go take a bath and brush your teeth? I'm going to talk to F/n, okay?" Hesitantly, Rina gives you a hug before running into the hallway.
