33. 𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒔

As you're laying on your futon in the dorm, Nanase comes in.

"L/n senpai, we just finished practice and we're going to eat lunch right now!" she happily chirps.

"Oh, you didn't have to come all the way to the dorms to come get me, Nanase-san." You sit up as she shyly plays with her hands.

"I-I know, but I was really worried that you wouldn't know if I didn't come get you." Seeing how thoughtful Nanase was warmed your heart.

"Thank you, Nanase-san." You smile and start walking off with her.

"So, did you and Karei senpai go to the same school before?" Nanase hesitantly asks which causes you to stiffen. "O-oh! I'm sorry, senpai! I didn't mean to ask; I-I was just curio--"

"It's okay, Nanase-san. We went to Kitagawa Daiichi junior high together and were on the same team... I guess if you heard our conversations earlier, we don't really get along." You give a lopsided smile which causes Nanase to frown.

"I'm sorry if I brought up bad memories, L/n senpai."

"It's okay. It was all in the past." You shrug and give her a smile to reassure her that she didn't do anything wrong.

"F/n-channnn!" someone calls out and suddenly crashes you with a hug.

"A-ah, who is--Atsumu?? What's wrong?" you confusedly ask the boy who's hugging you. Other students watch in shock.

"L/n-san and Miya-san are that close?"

"The group of prodigies being all friendly with each other," someone scoffs.

"Are they in a relationship??" People whisper.

"Are you okay?? What happened?" he worriedly asks as you sweat at all of the attention.

"I'm fine, Atsumu. Don't worry about it." You pat his back and push his body away from yours. Komori and Sakusa follow after Atsumu.

"Are you okay, L/n-chan?" Komori asks again as Sakusa tries to keep his distance. You give him a small smile.

"I'm fine, Komori-kun. Thank you for asking." As you're talking with the boys, Nanase watches in fright and shock.

'Senpai is friends with the famous setter, spiker, and libero!!!! They're so tall!' she thinks to herself, being the tiniest of you all.

"Oh! Who's your friend, L/n-chan?" Komori excitedly asks as the boys turn their attention to Nanase who freezes.

"This is Nanase Yui. She's a first year and libero from Aoba Johsai," you introduce her as Nanase robotically bows.

"N-nice to meet all of you senpais!!"

"No need to be so respectful!" Atsumu laughs with Komori.

"You're a libero? So am I!" Komori points at himself as Sakusa just frowns.

"I'm hungry! I'm going to get food," he grumbles and walks off. Komori immediately gets into a conversation with Nanase and they follow Sakusa as well. As you're about to follow them, Atsumu stops you.

"Seriously though, F/n-chan. What happened?" He gives you a concerned face which causes you to blush.

"I just stopped the girl from hitting Nanase-san. That's all." You purse your lips together. Expecting to be scolded by Atsumu, you prepare yourself but end up getting a pat on the head.

"You're honestly so amazing, F/n-chan! You did the right thing." Atsumu gives you a toothy smile that causes your heart to pound against your chest.
