Chapter 5

"Wakey wakey, sweet cheeks" I heard as I slowly opened my eyes to find Axel sitting on my bed next to me. What the hell is he doing here again?!

"Umm how do you keep getting in here?" I asked. Over the past couple of days Axel has had enough arguments with his parents that he came over here to hideout all the time. I kind of got used to seeing him appear or wake me up.

"The window" he chuckled "I take it we're skipping school today...?"

"Umm no, I have never missed a day of school" I looked over to the clock. What the hell? Its 8:15.

"Well you have 15 minutes to get to homeroom or this'll be your first" he pointed out. No shit sherlock!

"Hey can you give me a ride?, I'll just change real quick. My truck won't get me there in time." I pleaded, adding a pouty face at the end.

"Sure. Here I picked something for you from Serena's closet" he motioned to a pink mini and a white crop top laid out, paired with some black flats. He really doesn't get me, I like sweats and sneakers. Ughh!

"Uh thanks but I'll just wear my sweats like normal." I replied hoping he wouldn't mind.

"Its junior year, don't you want to shut all those cheerleaders and the bitch Christina that talk about you up?" He said as if he actually cared.

To get him shut up so I could get to school on time, I just grabbed the hangers and jogged to the bathroom. I changed in like 10 minutes and shaved my legs, I hadn't done this in so long I'm surprised I didn't kill myself in the process.

I wondered what had gone down between him and Christina, the whole school knew they broke up but no one knew why. Trust me, I heard everything that went on, mostly because I'm invisible and no one sees me.

When I came back to the room Axel was no where to be found. I walked over to the window and looked out to see him sitting in his car with what looked like my bookbag in the front. Ran downstairs and our the back down to his car.

On our way to school I wondered how the school would react when they see me coming out of his car and dressed like- well Serena.

"Uhm can I ask you something?" I looked over to him to see him nod. "What happened with you and Christina? I know its none of my business and um not like your best friend or anything, but I was just curious"

"No you're not my best friend" well that stung. "You're better we've known each other for a little over a week and I've told you almost everything there is to know about me." Awww "Christina and I broke up because, well she was cheating on me two of my friends. She's done it before and we've moved past it, but I guess she's still the same person." I just sat silently not knowing how to respond. "She was also feeling 'insecure' because she says "I spend too much time with you" I mean Snowden said she wanted us to get to know each other because we would be together for the rest of the semester."

"You guys broke up because of me?" I was in complete shock.

"No we broke up because she doesn't know the first thing about being loyal" he looked at me with reassuring eyes. The next 2 minutes were silent.

As we pulled into the parking lot everyone ran over to us. Axel got out then came around to open the door for me.

Everyone gawked and stared at me and asked who the new girl is. Hello people I've lived here all my life and gone to school with most of you all my life, I guess no one remembers me. Axel made it kind of better by placing his arm on the small of my back, that was exposed because of the crop top, as he ushered me into the building and up to the second floor. Geez walking up stairs in this skirt was the biggest struggle ever.

We sat in homeroom and worked on our chemistry assignment. This was so weird. How do girls just wear this around, I felt naked.

Christina and her minion walked in and saw us. They came over and complimented my- well- Serena's top. When they left I could here them talking about how he loved on so fast. The whole school thought we were together now.

I kind of liked having people stare and whisper rumors as we walked by them.
