Chapter 25

A few days later my mom came to start packing our stuff for the move. She met Axel again, this time as my boyfriend and she approved but that didn't change her mind about the move.

So Axel and I spent every second we had together. I was falling for this boy and hard too. I can't believe I have to leave.

Being that me and Axel are together now, for the next couple of days, my mom doesn't want us to be sleeping two steps away from each other. Now its back to just me and her in the house.

"Morning mom" I said walking into the kitchen Friday morning.

"Morning sweetie. Remember today is your last day at Merriweather, so pick up your transfer information." She said looking up from her paperwork giving me a kiss on my cheek.

My phone vibrates as I'm about to pick up my keys and go. I didn't even have to look at the name, this could only be one of two people: Axel or Serena.

Morning baby girl!:* I'm driving you today.

Well that narrows it down.

"Mom Axel's driving me to school so I'm leaving now." I called on my way out the door.

I practically skipped for joy across the driveway over to the Ramirez house. The front door was open so I walked in and went upstairs to surprise my favorite guy.

"Hey sexy" I cooed walking into his room.

"Hey babe. Um not to be rude or anything, but how did you get in here?" He asked wrapping his arms around me.

"Let's just say, you should lock your front door more often." I winked walking out of the room.

I went across the hall to Serena's room. The door decorated with magazine cut outs and 5SOS and Justin Beiber posters. I'm gonna miss this girl, I think as I knock on the door before opening it.

"Hey boo!" She screams tackling me.

"Can't... Breathe" I say dramatically.

"Oh hush, I can't believe your leaving tomorrow. We just met and started getting close" she said tearing up.

"Stop, you can't do this to me. Plus your wearing mascara." I say wiping her eyes.

"Promise me you'll still call me and text me and all that." She held out her pinky. I grabbed it with mine and nodded.

At school Axel followed me around like a little puppy. And when I got home he wouldn't leave.

The three of us were in my room watching Godzilla when Axel pulled me out of the room.

He knelt down on one knee and held my left hand. Please don't let this be what I think it is.

"Cassie Olivia Montgomery, I know we've only known each other for a short while and whatever. And I know your leaving tomorrow morning and this probably isn't the best time to tell you this, but Im falling for you." He said fidgeting " will you accept this promise ring? Because I promise you that no matter who else comes in to my life I will never feel the same about them as I feel about you."

I didnt trust my voice to work so I simply nodded feverishly. He placed the ring on my pinky and stood up. As he got up his eyes never left mine. We stood there for a few seconds lost in each other's eyes, the. He started leaning in and soon enough our lips were touching and I froze.

He wrapped his arms around the small of my back pulling me in to him. I tangled my fingers in his hair and our kiss deepened. When we finally pulled away, we were both breathless.

"Im falling for you too" I managed to say. He pulled me in to a hug and then led me back to my room where Serena was still watching the movie.

We finished watching the movie and my mom allowed them to stay over as long as we keep our doors open.
