Chapter 24

"No you can't leave!" Serena screeched when I broke the news to her.

"I know but my mom's really happy about this move. Your house should be done soon anyway." I said

"I guess now is as a good of a time as any to tell you. The house finished two days ago, we just didn't want to leave" Serena confessed

"Really wow."

Axel texted me and said he was outside so I grabbed my bag and had Serena do final touches.

"Hey handsome" I said giving him a hug.

He was in a grey Hollister top that hugged his muscles perfectly and some khakis and vans.

"You look beautiful" he said looking down at my Serena designed outfit.

'Thanks. So umm where are you taking me?" I asked as he put the key in the ignition.

"Its a surprise. That reminds me, do you trust me?" He said reaching into the glove compartment. I nodded and he took out a mask. "Then put this on"

"No way!" I said

"Please sweet cheeks" he said kissing my cheek. I grabbed the mask and pulled it over my head.

Yay.

About 20 minutes later the car stopped and he took the key out of the ignition.

"Here we go. You can take off the way blindfold now."

I pulled the mask over my head and in front of me was a beautiful cliff. I got out dragging my jaw on the ground. There was a picnic set with candles and the cliff was overlooking a lake.

"This is... beautiful" I said my breathe hitching in my throat.

"Yeah, but you're better." He said leaning in to give me a kiss.

We sat down and ate and looked at stars. Then we danced a little.

"Yea I gotta talk to you." I told him.

"Yeah sure. What's up?" He said sitting down.

"So you know how my mom is on a conference call for the real estate agency" I started "well she got asked to move down there for a promotion next week."

"That's awesome. So wait, who are you going to be staying with?" He asked.

"That's the thing. I won't be staying here. She wants me to come with here." I told him watching his face fall

"No way! You can not leave. Not now" he said getting a little mad.

"I know, everything just started working out." I said grabbing his hand.

"Just come here" he said seeing tears well up in my eyes.

I scooted over to him and sat in between his legs with his arms wrapped around me. We sat there for a few minutes until we decided to head back home.

"You know this was my first date ever?" I said unlocking the front door.

"You know this was my favorite date ever?" He replied kissing me on the cheek.

Serena was asleep but I woke her up. I needed someone to tell about my date.

After I spilled every detail of my night to her she was gushing. "You guys are so cute. I can't believe you have to leave now"
I can't believe I have to leave either.

I sat in bed thinking of how my life has transformed since I was partnered with Axel, and now how it's all going to change in a few days.
