"I didn't do a thing. She's lying." Jide said. "Are you gonna believe what that cheap brat says?"
"Jide!" Ella shouted. "Amara is not a brat. You are denying that you raped her. Jide, Amara is like a child to me and you raped her. Jide!"
"I didn't do anything." He insisted.
"Officers, no need to hesitate. Arrest him." She said.
"Jide Balogun, you're under arrest. You have a right to a lawyer when you have one." One officer said and handcuffed him.
"Jide, Amara is like my child. You'll pay for assaulting her. I promise you." Ella said and they took him away.
Ella went into the office and saw everyone's attention on the television.
"Breaking news. The prestigious Ella Coker has accused her boyfriend Jide Balogun of raping her maid." The news caster said.
"For Christ sake, Amara ain't my maid." Ella screamed and stomped into her office with Uche running after her.
"I am so sorry Ma'am." Uche said handing over to her a tissue paper.
Ella was shedding tears.
"He raped her. No mercy." Ella said and laid her head on her table.
"It'll be fine." Uche replied and held her hand.
After sometime, she raised her head.
"CCTV." She said.
"Ma'am?"
"My CCTV. It has the recording." Ella said and stood up. "Follow me."
"Yes, ma'am." Uche responded and followed...
They went to her home. Amara was still in the hospital. The CCTV was still where she had kept it. Ella connected it to her laptop and they watched.
"Oh my God." Uche screamed. "He's so cruel. He hit her. Oh God."
Tears dropped freely from Ella's eyes.
Amara must get justice.
