Chapter Eleven

Ella couldn't control herself. She began to cry.

Amara had seen Ella run into house. She tried talking to her but Ella didn't give her a chance.

She heard a knock on the door and she opened it.

"Mr Robert."

"Where's your mom?" He asked.

"She's in her room. What happened to her? Did you hurt her?"

"No...look I need to talk to her." He said and pushed through and ran up the stairs.

He opened her door, she was on the floor sobbing unconditionally.

"Ella." He called.

"What are you doing here?" She asked wiping away her tears. "Why are you here?"

"I am here because I love you." He said and went towards her.

"Don't touch me." She said and shifted away from him. 

"Ella." He ached to touch her. She was hurt and really wanted her to open up to him.

"I gave in my all. I guess I was stupid again."

"El." He said and gathered her in his arms. "My baby."

"I was a still a little child when I used to hear my mother screaming in pain. My father used to thrash her and sexually molest her."

"She always did her best for me. She made sure I went to school even though my father was against it. She could only train me to Junior secondary level. She died  after an assault from my father. He had beat her mercilessly this time smashing her against the wall. Oh mother." She Said and cried out.

Robert tightened his grip on her. She was trembling and in pain.

"My father wasn't even concerned about me. He died few years later. I had to take care of myself. I tried my best and finished all to my senior wassce. I came out with a good result.

"I had no one to depend on Robby. I was on my own. I was a poor girl whom no one wanted.  So later on, I met this guy named Daniel, he said he was going to help me. I agreed, he looked like a nice person."

"So I got admission to study at UNN. Business administration. It wasn't easy but  Daniel covered my fees. I saw myself developing feelings towards Daniel." She said and sighed deeply.

"After my first year, Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend. I agreed. It felt like I was doing both of us a favour. He got into me a lot.
He asked me for sex one night.
I refused. He got upset and hit me in the face. He forced himself on me and took away my virginity forcefully. I was so hurt that night. I couldn't even walk well." She sobbed.

"Ella, come." Robert said and carried her towards the bed.

"I am so sorry sweetheart." He said.

"There's still more to tell." Ella sniffed.

Robert cuddled her and kissed her gently. 

"I love you Ella."

She snuggled closer and closed her eyes.
