Chapter Five

Ella picked up her phone and dialed Uche's number.

"Hello Ma'am." Uche said.

"Hello, Uche. How are you doing?" Ella said, laying her dress on her bed.

"I am fine, ma'am. Any thing you need?" Uche said.

"Yes. There's an event I'll be attending. So I want you to be in my house by 6pm." Ella said.

"6..."

"No objections, Uche. 6pm."

Uche chuckled. "Okay ma'am."

The call ended.

Uche got to Ella's house at exactly 6pm.
"Hello ma'am." Uche greeted.

"Welcome Uche." Ella greeted. Amara also welcomed her.

"So, Amara lock the doors. Only open when I arrive. I'll be back soon." Ella said.

"Okay Mom." Amara said and chuckled.

"Uche, can you drive?" Ella asked.

"Um...well..."

"Can you drive?"

"Yes ma'am." Uche said and laughed.

"So, Drive." Ella said and sat at the passengers seat.

Ella chuckled and they left for the venue.

Ella stepped into the hall. There were cameras everywhere. She smiled briefly.
Uche held her hand.
"You're a star." She said and they both walked in.

"Ella Coker is here. Ella Coker."

Mr Williams heard and went to meet her.

"Hello, Miss Coker." Mr Williams said and they exchanged pecks on the cheek. "Welcome."

"Thank you. I am honored to be here, Mr Williams."

"I'd prefer you call me Robert." He said and smiled.

"Okay Robert." Ella said and smiled.
"This is my secretary, Miss Uche." Ella said introducing Uche.

"Nice to meet you Sir." Uche said.

"Well, Ella. Let me introduce you to some guests of mine." Robert took Ella's hand and led her away.

"Meet Ella Coker." Robert introduced.
Ella smiled.

"Nice to meet you."

Robert introduced her to a lot of people. Well they found Ella stunning. 
Robert offered her a glass of wine.

"Thanks." She said but nor drinking.

Robert offered her a seat and they watched as the event went on. Dancers came in to show their talent. Those who sang, Dbanj was present too.

"So Ella Coker," Robert said. "Would you mind if we knew each other better?"

"Haha. Very funny, Robert Williams."

"Yeah, am curious. To know how you singlehandedly got to the top of your career."

"Well," Ella said smacking her lips. "You don't need to know. Its my burden, to bear." She added and smiled. She raised her glass towards him.

"Cheers to friendship. Right?" She said giving a seductive smile.

"To friendship." Robert replied and they clicked their glasses and drank.

Ella looked else where and Robert stared at her. She's so beautiful, he thought.

"Mr Williams." Ella called. "I think I have to leave now."

"But..."

"Am so sorry. I need to get home and relieve my secretary. Thanks for inviting me." Ella said and smiled.

"Excuse me, gentlemen." Robert said and escorted her.

"Good night, Ella Coker."

"Night, Robert Williams."

Ella and Uche got into the car and they drove off.
