Chapter VI

Erin's POV

It has been a week. Isang linggo pa lang ay marami na agad ang nangyari. Naging girlfriend agad ako ng kapatid ng estudyante ko. Napangiti ako. Hindi naman totoo yun so ayos lang sa akin. Naging close kami ng tatlong kapatid nito mula noon. Weekend kaya nandito lang ako sa bahay. Wala akong balak mamasyal since may trabaho naman ang mga kapatid ko.
Isang manager sa isang company ang kuya Martin ko at ang bunso namin ay isang supervisor sa isa ding company. Magaling di ba?
Biglang may nagdoorbell sa pinto. Binuksan ko.
"Oh,Tae Young ,why are you all here?" Tanong ko ng makita ko ang tatlo.
"Our brother left. No one is there for us. Can we stay for a bit here,Ms. Erin?" Wika ni Jae Young yung panganay nilang tatlo.
Tumango ako. Pumasok silang tatlo.
"We brought our foods Ms. Erin."
Inilagay nila sa Plato ang mga pagkain.
Umupo ako sa sofa. Kinuha ko ang throw pillow at inilagay sa bandang tiyan.
"Where is your brother going?" Mahinang tanong ko. Umupo sa aking tabi si Jae Young.
"He got a call from Ms. Han. "
Natigilan ako.
"What do you mean?"
"I feel they have a thing again. Hyung always came home late nowadays. Jae Young always cook dinner for us." Jin said.
Tumango ako. After niya akong ginamit para makaalis ang babaeng iyon ay nagbalikan agad sila. Well,maganda naman talaga ang babaeng iyon. Pareho sila ng nationality kaya dapat lang na magkabalikan sila. First love niya iyon dahil college pa lang sila ay magkakilala na sila.
"Ms. Erin!!!" sigaw ng tatlo sa akin. Natawa ako.
"Did I pass out?"
Tumango silang tatlo. Tumayo ako.
"Let's go out. "
"Really? Where?"
"My brother's house in Gangnam."
"Gangnam?wow!that's my dream place." Wika ni Jae Young.
"Let's go."
Nagbihis na ako at umalis na kami sa bahay ko. Nagbihis muna silang tatlo. At lumabas na.
Masaya silang tatlo na naglalakad patungong bus station.
"Ms. Erin,you know what we can't go out if no one accompanied us. We can go alone. We need guardian."
"Yeah,I know. Same in the Philippines."
"So,Jae Young can't attend the concert of her idol."
"Really?are you a kpop fan?" Masayang tanong ko. Tumango ito.
"Me too. When I was in college,I always go out to buy idol merchandise."
Tumawa ito.
Dumating na ang bus sumakay na kami. Umupo kami sa bandang likuran. Malapit sa window si Jae Young ,kasunod niya si Tae Young at ako next to me is jin young. Hindi pa marami ang pasahero. Halos kalahating oras lang ang byahe doon.
Dumating na kami. Bumaba kami mula sa bus at naglakad patungo sa apartment ng kuya ko. May nadaanan kami na park. Dumaan muna kami at naglaro sina Tae Young at Jin young.
"Ms. Erin,we don't like Ms. Han for our brother. She is just too much for him. But I think my brother loves her."
"Then,that would be good. You will love her too."
"I'm not sure if she does the same to us. I'm afraid if they end up getting married,where will we stay?in the orphanage? I'm scared. That woman is capable of doing something."
"No,she is kind too."
"Kind? Have you seen her doing bad thing to you?Ms. Erin,she just insult you in front of us. What an attitude!"
" Jae Young, it's your brother's life. If he is happy with that woman,support him. This is the good thing you could do for your brother."
"When Tae Young talked about you one time,I thought you were an old lady. We thought you could be our mom. But one night we are thinking our brother would get married ,we are thinking to be a cupid to him. We will look for woman for him because he is too busy looking for one. But when you brought us pizza one night and Tae Young introduced you to us,I made a conclusion to our problem. We will try to match you with our brother. Then Ms. Han came in to our story so it's a little difficult for us to fix this problem. You are better than her,ms. Erin."
Ngumiti ako. Sh just talked more than of her age.
"I don't have have plan to get a korean boyfriend." Biro ko sa kanya.
"Why?"
"I don't like to have one."
" Ms. Erin,come on,seduce our brother. I don't like Ms. Han for him."
"Seduce?Jae Young-a,you are  still young to think like that. I can't do that. Let him do what he wants."
Tumayo ako at tinungo ang nagtitinda ng roasted potato. Bumili ako noon. Nilapitan ako ng tatlo.
"Thank you,noona."
Natigilan pa ako. Tiningnan ako ng tindero. Ngumiti ako.
"Your siblings?"
"Ahh,yeah!" Sabi ko.
"You are very kind to bring them here,and buy something for them." Wika ng matandang lalaki.
Iniwan na namin siya at umupo kami sa bench na nandoon.
"Teacher Erin,thank you."
"Your welcome Tae Young."
Kumain na ang mga ito.
"Do you know that we have a lot of this in my house? Everyday my father will boil this one for our snacks. "
"Wow. Is it delicious?"
"Hmm."
"Ms. Erin,can we go to the Philippines?" Jin young asked me.
"Of course you can. When  you grow up."
"Tsk!"
Pagkatapos nilang kumain ay umalis na kami at tinungo na namin ang bahay ng kuya ko. Nag-asawa na ang kuya ko at isang Korean din. May dalawa na silang anak.
Naabutan kong nagsasampay ng mga damit ang asawa nito.
"Unni" tawag ko sa babae. Lumingon ito.
"What are you doing here?" Nakangiting wika nito.
"I don't have work so I decided to visit you."
"Who are these young kids? You have another job?baby sitter?"
Nagulat pa ito.
"Ahh,yeah,their brother is not around so I have to take care of them. "
"Oh,really. Come,get inside. The kids are still awake. They can play with them."
"Is kuya Martin will be here early?"
"Maybe because it's Saturday."
"Oh,good."
Pumasok kaming apat sa loob ng bahay nito. Maganda ng bahay nito. Sinalubong agad ako ng dalawa kong pamangkin. Sina Rin Ae at Woo Jin.
"Hello"
"Hello,aunt Erin."
Nakaupo ang tatlong bata habang naglalaro naman sina Rin at Jin.
"Aren't you going to play with them?"
Ngumiti sa akin si Tae Young.
I looked at my wristwatch. It's 1:00 in the afternoon.
Biglang tumunog yung cellphone ko. Si Lee Young iyon.
Ibinigay ko kay Jae Young ang phone ko.
Tinulungan ko si Chae Woon na nagluluto ng makakain namin. I brought some goodies for them too.
"Unni,you should not bother cooking for us."
"It's okay. It's not all the time I cook for you."
"Did Therese come here?"
"Not yet this week,your brother is waiting for her."
"Oh..really?"
"Did you learn Korean language?"
"Hmm,sometimes."
"You should. By the way,their brother might be okay for him that you went out with his siblings?"
"Hmm,fine,he's busy dating someone else."
"Ahh..did he pay you?"
"Hmm,some cooked meals."
"Where are their parents?"
"They died two hears ago due to vehicular accident."
"He must be kind to take care of them. You know what, it is rare to find a man like him. Some people they bring their siblings in the orphanage."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Nilingon ko ang mga bata. Naglalaro na ang mga ito.
"Noona,hyung will be here later."
"Okay."
Ibinigay sa akin ang phone ko.
"What did he do?"
"He's a doctor."
"Really?"
"Hmm."
Naghihiwa ito ng sibuyas.
"Unni,when will you go to the Philippines?"
"Martin is very busy nowadays."
"Our mom is waiting for all you."
Ngumiti ito. Isang beses lang itong pumunta ng Pilipinas.
"Are you happy with my brother?"
"Of course!"
