Yours and Mine are Ours

Chapter XXVI

Akala ko yung na ang pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay naming magkapatid. Na wala ng masasamang mangyayari at tapos na ang problema namin. This morning is the most beautiful day I ever had in my life.
Akala ko pa lang iyon.
Isang malaking ten wheeler truck ang mabilis na tumatakbo patungo sa sasakyan namin.
"What's that?"tanong ko.
Nakahawak sa seatbelt si Erin. Nagsimula ng nag-iyakan ang mga kapatid ko.
" What the hell is that? Are they going to kill us?"
Binangga nito ang kotse namin.  Halos umikot ng Maraming beses ang kotse ko bago huminto at bumangga sa isang poste.
Dahan-dahan kong nilingon sila. Nababalot ng dugo ang mga kapatid ko. Si Erin ay wala ng Malay sa tabi ko. 
"E-erin,honey,w-wake up." mahinang tawag ko dito.
"H-hyung!" Tawag sa akin ni Jae Young.
"J-jae Young.. Are you okay?"
"Hmm. "
"Jin and Tae Young, how are they.?"
"They are both unconscious. Hyung,"
"Jae  young don't sleep okay?" Mahinang sabi ko. Maya-maya lang ay may narinig akong siren ng ambulance. Nabuhayan ako ng pag-asa.
"Erin,don't leave me okay? You promise me to stay with me. Don't forget that." Sabi ko sa sarili ko. Nilapitan na kami ng rescue team. I saw my siblings in the stretcher.
At sumunod si Erin na wala pa ring Malay.
Dinala na kami sa Seoul University hospital. Nanghihina ako at parang gusto kong matulog.

Paggising ko ay nilibot ko ang mga mata ko. Bumangon ako at hinanap silang lahat.
"Jae Young"
Sumalubong sa akin ang doctor na nag-aalaga sa amin.
"Doc. Jin and Tae Young are already safe. Don't worry now."
"What about Erin?" Kinakabahan ako kung anong nangyari sa kanya. Pinuntahan ko siya sa ICU. Malalala ang kondisyon nito. Muntik na itong maubusan ng dugo.
"She had fractured bone in her arms. "
"How is she now?"
"We will wait until she wakes up."
Tinawagan ko si Harrison para mag-imbestiga tungkol sa aksidente.
"Yeah,I got the news. I'm doing it now. "
"Thanks"
Tinungo ko ang room ng mga kapatid ko.
Nagpapahinga ang mga ito. Umupo ako sa upuan na nandon.
Naisuklay ko ang sariling mga kamay ko.
"Who did this to us?"
Napatingin ako sa itaas.
"Mom,dad,we almost die."
Umiiyak ako sa mga oras na iyon. Tinawagan ko si Lee ang kaibigan nito.
"What? Are you all okay?" Wika ni Lee.
"Were fine except her. She's in the ICU. We are waiting when she wakes up."
"Mygod! I'm going there. And I'll call her brother."
"Thanks,Lee."
"Don't worry she'll be okay."
Ini-off ko na ang cellphone. I had a lot of bruise. I still have IV drops.
Lumipas any isang oras at dumating na ito. Kasama nito ang isang Korean.
"She's Chae Woon. Her sister in law."
Nailipat na si Erin sa kwarto na kasama and mga kapatid niya. Wala pa ring Malay ito.
"What happened?"
"This morning,a big truck was following us and bumped us hardly."
"Mygod! How are the kids?"
"They are fine now. Just minor bruise. Tae young had cuts on his leg."
"Poor child. Do you know who did this to you?"
"I have some speculation but I'm not yet sure if it could be true. Mi Yoo had a grudge on us. I think she did this to us for revenge."
"You almost died."
Nang dumating ang hapon ay pumunta ang mga kapatid niya Erin. Ngayon ko lang sila nakilala.
"I'm sorry. I have to protect her instead."
"Don't worry. She will be fine." Sabi ng kuya nito.
"We will do our best to find the culprit. We won't stop until he will be in jail."
May tinawagan ang kapatid nitong babae.
"Hello ma."
"Kumusta na si Erin?"
"Hindi pa siya nagising. Marami yung mga pasa niya. At may fractures din siya sa braso."
"Naku,ang batang iyan. Anonba kasi ang nangyari?"
"Sabi ni Lee Young ay may mabilis na tumakbo na ten wheeler truck sa likuran ng kotse nila at binangga sila. Mabuti na lang at walang nangyaring masama sa mga bata."
"Kumusta si Lee Young."
"Ayos naman po siya. Napupuno din ng pasa. "
"Naku..talaga."
"Wag po kayong mag-alala,maging maayos din ang lahat."
"O siya tawagan no ako kapag nagkamalay na si Erin."

Nanatili ang mga ito ng ilang oras at umuwi din ang mga ito nang lumalim ang gabi. Naiwan akong nag-iisa sa kwarto. Silang lahat ay natutulog.
"Erin,please wake up now okay? I'm scared."sabi ko sa kanya. Hawak ko ang mga kamay niya.
" Please don't leave me. "
Umiiyak ako habang kausap ko siya.
"Do you remember when I let sign a contract I made. You said you will make it come true. That time I wish you'll marry me. But now, all I wish you would wake up and show to me your hopeful eyes and bright smile. Could you do that for me? "
"I'm sorry. If I could bring back the time,we would never go to school early."
"Please wake up now. I need you."
Tumulo yung luha ko sa aking pisngi.
Gusto ko lang matulog pero di ko gustong iwan siya.
Patuloy kong hinawakan ang mga kamay niya.
Yung mga mata ko ay gusto mamg pumikit. Yung katawan ko ay gustong ng magpahinga  pero pinipilit kong gisingin ang sarili ko.
Pumipikit na ang mga mata ko pero ng iminulat ko at tiningnan ko siya. Laking gulat ko ay nakatingin ito sa akin.
Tumulo uli yung mga luha ko.
"Honey,you're back!" Pinindot ko ang nurse section para pumunta ang mga ito. Maya-maya lang ay dumating ang doktor.
"She's fine now. Let her rest until tomorrow so that wounds won't be infected."
Tumango ako. Si Doc. Han Ji Suk iyon. Naging kaibigan ko na rin siya. Mabuting tao din ito.
Iniwan na nila kami.
"Erin.."
"I'm fine. How are the kids? "
"They are fine too. You're family was here this afternoon. I'll tell them tomorrow."
Tumango ito.
"You should rest too." Sabi nito.
"I'm fine here with you. I'm scared. I thought you will leave me."
Umiling ito. Hinwakan niya ang pisngi ko. Umiiyak ito.
" this is our second life. I'm lucky I could have given a chance to live again with you. "Wika nito.
"
Niyakap ko siya.
"Aray,my wounds." Wika nito.
Ngumiti ako.
"I'm sorry."
I kissed her forehead.
"I love you Erin."
"I love you too."
"I promised I will bring that person to jail. "
"It's okay. The most significant now is we are alive and safe. We almost died,do you want to get married?" Mahinang tanong nito. Natigilan ako. Totoo ba yung narinig ko?
"N-noona? "
"Jin? Are you okay?" Tanong nito.
Dahan-dahan itong tumayo at nilapitan ang bata. Niyakap niya ito.
" We're safe now. Don't be afraid."wika nito.
"I dreamed of mom. We were walking towards them. She got angry because we leave hyung. She said why are you here? You supposed not leave your brother. He might be sad. Go back. " umiiyak na wika nito.
Umiiyak na rin ako. Nakaagapay pa rin si mommy sa amin. Hindi niya ako pinabayaan.
"Hyung,I'm sorry."
I hugged him tightly.
"I'm fine. I'm glad you came back. I can't forgive myself if something happens to you."
"Hyung."
Life is short. We never know when it will stop.
Tumunog ang cellphone ko. So Harrison iyon.
"Yeah hello?"
"Mr. Park. I found some lead. Who is Han Mi Yoo?"
"MiYoo?"
"Yeah,the driver of the truck was arrested this afternoon. He went to the station and surrendered himself to us. He said Han Mi Yoo asked him to do it in return of 1million dollars. But conscience was killing him when he saw your car exploded. He went to the station and told us about it."
"Where is Mi Yoo now?"
"The police was still looking for her.She has many houses. So we can't arrest her."
"Thank you for doing your best. She is the daughter of Han Ji Kyung. She wants to become director too and will use me before to get it. She wants me to marry her to get the position."
"What?"
"Hmm. She had assaulted Erin too before."
"What?"
"Yeah. She slapped her once."
"That will make her charges heavier."
"And for threatening my siblings too. She is out of her mind now. She needs to consult a psychiatrist because she can't control her temper terribly."
"Okay I'll call you again if there is progress."
Bumalik ako sa kama na pinaghihigaan ni Erin.
"Who's that?"
"It's Harrison. He told me that it's Mi yoo's doing again."
"She might really in love with you" mahinang sabi nito.
"What? It can't be. It's disgusting to me. She's like a garbage now. Her soul is black and dirty."
"Before did you love her too?"
"Maybe I'm not sure. I don't want to reminisce my past with her because it is not worthy to remember."
Ngumiti ito.
"You should forgave her now. Because she did it due to her dreams. Dream to become the director."
"Hmm..for you. I'll do that. By the way,did you just ask me to marry you?"
"I'm sleepy. I want to rest now. Let's talk tomorrow. Alright?"
