The Hangover

~The Next Day (Lena's Apartment)~

Stef:

Beep Beep Beep Beep

9:30 am

I get up, I know Lena isn't awake because she was super drunk last night. 

I open my curtains and take in the sunshine on my skin.

I open the door & go on the balcony.

I take a deep breath.

Rhode Island is freezing. Harsh cold winters.

California is a great change.

Nice & sunny.

Warm.

I could get used to a month of this.

I head back inside and go to the kitchen.

I start some coffee & search through Lena's food cabinet for some pancake mix.

I start my homemade blueberry pancakes and turn on the radio.

Lena:

I wake up to the smell of breakfast & music.

I have a huge headache.

I look over to my nightstand. I see a glass of water with aspirin &  a letter.

I take the aspirin & smile at the letter.

I get up & head to the kitchen.

I stand there watching Stef sing while cooking.

She turns around.

"Shit. You scared the living hell out of me."

I laugh.

She turns down the music.

"How you feeling?"

"Better thanks to that aspirin."

She laughs.

"Thanks by the way."

She smiles.

"You're welcome."

"Thank you for not drinking last night also."

She laughs.

"So worth it."

"Oh no what happened?"

"Besides the fact all of you hit on me?"

"Omg. All of us?"

"Yes. All of you. Jenna flirted with my abs and jawline. Chloe said my eyes were gorgeous. Margaret was basically all over me. Rachel asked me on a date this weekend. And you were flirting with me hard. While telling them to back off because I am yours."

I put my hands over my face.

"Omg. I am so sorry."

"Don't be sorry. I had a lot of fun actually."

I laugh.

"Well that's good."

I look at her neck.

"I see your still wearing Hayley's necklace."

She grabs the locket.

"Yeah."

Stef:

I put a pancake on a plate & slide it to Lena.

"There you go. Put some syrup on it or whatever, I will go turn on Tom & Jerry."
