The Carnival (Pt. 2)

~That Same Night (Outside of Gloria & Rachel's Mansion)~

Stef:

Me & Lena are sitting in the back of the car looking at the stars. While everyone was still doing quickies in the carnivals parking lot.

"You know the sky is beautiful."

"Yeah it really is."

"San Diego is beautiful."

"Really, it just seems like a busy town to me."

"Better to be busy than no traffic at all. I love the open roads back home, but it's good to get out of your comfort zone every once in a while."

She laughs.

"You know what I just realized?"

I turn to her.

"What?"

"Other than that night in high school."

"Hey be careful what you say next. I have more videos."

"Wait what you have more videos?"

"Nah I am just playing."

I laugh.

"I have never seen you drink alcohol."

"Well, I have a feeling that since we are doing these heated and frisky after carnival games that some alcohol will be involved. Meaning..."

"We are probably going to have to-..."

"Stay the night. Meaning we have to cuddle. Which is fine. I'm not complaining."

She laughs.

"You know Lena I think we should get matching tattoos."

She chuckles.

"Yeah like what?"

"I have just the thing for us."

I show her the picture.

She smiles.

"Perfect."

Just then her friends pull up and start getting out.

We hop out of the trunk and shut it.

We begin walking but something is up with Lena.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing my feet are just sore, go on and I will meet up with you."

I chuckle.

I go over to her and bend down.

"What are you doing?"

I pat my back.

"Get on my back."

"What? Stef no."

"Lena I have been in cowgirl boots since before I could talk. I have been carrying you since we were kids. And you being a fashion designer of all people, you should know that if you keep walking in those converse you will have big blisters on your feet tomorrow. And being my best friend, and sister from another family, you should also know I never give up or go down without a fight. So, please get on my back. And let me walk you to the door."

She sighs

Then she wraps her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck.

I stand up & we go to the door.

"You are relentless."

"Yes I am. But you should be thankful, I just saved you blisters and the walk."
