The Morning After

~The Next Morning (at Rachel & Gloria's Mansion)~

Stef:

I wake up with a pounding headache.

"Ahh"

I see Lena wake up.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah. Just a pounding headache. I'm sorry did I wake you?"

"No I have been up for a while with that same problem."

"How much did we drink last night?"

"I don't know. I can't remember anything after you walking me in to the mansion."

"Me either."

"Maybe that's a good thing. We were both drunk."

I laugh.

"True."

I get up & everyone's in the living room.

Lena follows behind me."

"Look who decided to sleep in."

We laugh.

"What is the time?"

"2 pm"

"Does anyone remember anything we did last night?"

I look around the group & everyone is looking at each other shaking their heads.

"No we were to drunk."

"Great."

"Those games must have been fun if no one can remember."

Gloria looks up

"I remember."

Everyone looks at her.

"Spill."

"No, I am keeping these memories for me. Maybe I will spill along the way."

I sigh.

"Okay well I am gonna drive me & Lena home. See you gals next week sometime?"

"Sure. We will call you."

"Okay."

I take Lena's hand and we head outside.

I kiss her.

"Why did you do that? They aren't watching."

"Yeah well one thing I do remember is that Gloria is a detective."

"What?"

"Yeah."

"Okay can I ask what we are doing?"

"I am taking us to the store. You can get whatever you want groceries or whatever. But, I am getting art supplies."

"Ooh what are you painting?"

"Something for you. And if you peek, I will throw it out the window, or better yet out of the plane back home in less than two weeks."

Lena:

I throw my arms around Stef.

She hugs me back.

"What was that for?"

"I'm just gonna miss you. That's all."

"Well how about this. I will give you a painting, get a matching tattoo with you, & I promise it won't be another 10 years before we see each other again. I promise that I will visit at least once a year."
