Chapter 21

After a few minutes of waiting, Luci got up and grabbed some clothes. She walked out of their room and went to the downstairs bathroom. Upon returning to her room she strode over to her closet and grabbed her suitcase, folding some clothes, undergarments, and stashing a few weapons such as a metal bat, AK-47, taser, and some of her pistols underneath the clothes. She stood up after a while and looked around the room for anything else to put in the suitcase.

Luci heard the click and creak of the door opening but didn't look as she walked over to the bathroom and grabbed toiletries, she went over to her suitcase and put them in the smaller zipped pouch.

"Where are you going?"

"Somewhere." she said as she turned to Quinn, eye full of an unreasonable emotion "Well if you can't tell me where you're going, you're not leaving" At this time he was starting to sound controlling but not like before, it's not about her safety this time. His voice was terse as if she couldn't kick his ass if she so chose. She ignored him while checking her suitcase to make sure she had everything "Are you ignoring me?" Silence. He should've plainly said 'Give me all of your attention' at this rate.

"Don't ignore me!" He said, his voice raising whilst trembling a little. Luci looked at him blankly, keeping her mouth closed as she waited out his mini tantrum. "He's acting like a child." the demon said to her telepathically, as much as she didn't want to agree she was slowly leaning towards feeling that way too. The more Luci ignored him the more angry he got "Calm down dude, this isn't that serious. You're acting irrationally." Axel said to Quinn which caused him to suddenly snap "Shut up you incompetent, pervert! I hate you, I hate your voice in my head and I hate the things you make my body do to her!" Quinn said aloud, it startled Axel, he grew silent before he started ranting again "Yeah! Yeah I know, I don't like most species, yeah for stupid reasons! I may be speciesist but Hell. I don't care" she continued as Luci stared at him blankly still.

".....I'm still leaving...." Luci said, her tone letting him know she was un-bothered by his outburst as she zipped up her suitcase "I'm just trying to support my kingdom and get that paper. What. The. Fuck." Luci thought, shaking her head as Quinn glared at her "You're not going anyw-"

"Don't say it," Axel said

"Anywhere"

"Get off my non-existent dick. Unless you want to know where I go to kill mother-fuckers and slay bitches don't question a demon." Her voice raised an octave as her eyes turned white, she didn't sound angry. Tired. She sounded tired of this one-sided shit show.

"And you weren't making any sense, tell me straight on that you didn't want to fuck. Not string me along and tease me" she sighed softly and picked up her suitcase before walking out with it. Passing Micah at the stairs Luci bid him a 'see you later' and told him to tell Lyle as well "What was that up there?" He placed a hand on her shoulder and Luci groaned, stopping in her tracks "I guess he let shit get to him, telling me I couldn't leave or some shit... Psh... I'm sure it'll be fine" she said, not feeling up to explaining for she didn't even know. Micah scoffed "Really? Is he still pissed about that demon thing?"

"I don't believe so, he just... He hates his wolf and wants him gone. I even found out he didn't want to do anything sexual" Luci snarled out before shrugging off his hand with an apologetic look and leaving.

Mineka opened the door to her house and let Luciano in "You know you didn't need the suitcase" she commented and with a shrug of her shoulders, Luci made the suitcase disappear "I hope this whole thing blows over" Mineka said softly, Luci looked her in the eyes and sighed "Neka, I'm fine, it was just a little disagreement. It isn't the end of the world" she retorted as Mineka shut the door, the two women going into the living room "We have jobs to do"

"Princess, these jobs are not pretty. Are you sure you want to take them?" The woman walked beside Luci as she held a worried look on her face, she didn't want her future Queen getting hurt in any way. "Of course Neka, that's what I came here for. I've done these things before, murder, staged suicide, what have you..." Luci brushed off her concern and rolled her eyes, Mineka shook her head and nudged her "How are you doing, really?" Luciano sighed as a scowl formed on her face "I'm honestly alright" she said, her head snapped to the side as she was slapped "You're not fine, if you were you would've seen my hand coming and grabbed it" Mineka said earning a laugh from Luci as she cracked her neck "He doesn't like our kind Neka, he doesn't even want kids... How am I supposed to.... Am I supposed to just go up to him and be like hey! I'm a demon, deal with it?" Luci rambled, her voice cracked up and she groaned softly. She was conflicted about this whole ordeal and it will eventually going to make her go into a frenzy, her mental state was already halfway in chaos. Mineka let her ramble out her emotions with a soft smile "You're gonna be okay Luck, if you two don't end up together though. That's alright, he can't be worse than.... Him... But someday you may find someone more compatible or not, that's okay too." She said as a goofy smile appeared on her face "Who knows, we could get together~" she jokingly said causing Luci to blush a little and let out a shaky laugh "In your dreams Neka.... Although, thank you. That made me feel better" she murmured with a small smile as Mineka suddenly hugged her which Luci stiffened up.

"Not that much better"
