Chapter 23

"Okay, these people are very unstable so-" Luciano was cut off by a scream, she snapped her gaze towards the house as she fell to the floor with a weight atop her form, followed by another and another form "TAMAKI!!" Two voices screamed while the third screeched her name and she blinked frantically as the wind was knocked out of her lungs, looking at the fiery red-head, bluenette and Clara she smiled a little, grunting and pushing all of them off of her she stood up and dusted herself off "I did get Aria's house...Fuck.." she thought with an exasperated groan.

Before she could say anything Clara said something that made her blood turn cold "You came for Quinn? He's inside" Luci shook her head no and sighed, the two brothers ignored what Clara said, Mineka came around the car holding Lucille and Will's eyes turned red as he crooned softly and walked towards her, his pace quickening the closer he got until he grabbed her cheeks and kissed them "I missed your cutie- F-" Will twitched suddenly as his leg bounced as noises of protest and three pairs of hands covered his mouth suddenly, Will make a noise letting them know it was okay to uncover his mouth and they did so warily. Lucille looked at Will confused "Why'd you guys cover his mouth?" she questioned, her eyes shining with innocence, Will scratched his neck and chuckled awkwardly "I have this mental illness that causes me to uncontrollably shout words" Lucille nodded to his answer, smiling a little "Oh! So, like, you shout puppies?!" she asked, gasping in surprise. The adults and Clara laughed out loud at that one "Sure, kitten" Will said in between laughter.

The six went inside after their laughing fit and sat around the living room, Luciano sitting on the armrest of the chair which Scott was sitting on, Will and Mineka sat on a loveseat couch as Lucille sat on Mineka's lap cracking jokes and recalling old tales from when they all worked together. Luciano spoke up suddenly "We need to undergo an investigation on who Lucille's parents are." Lucille slid off of Mineka's lap and went over to Luciano, pulling on her pants leg as Scott and Will got their laptops from on the coffee table and opened them up. Luci looked down at Lucille whilst scooping her up into her arms "What's up Lucille?" Luci questioned, her tone immediately going from serious to a sort of baby-like voice.

"We need to talk" Quinn's voice tore through the conversation Luci and Luci were having, grabbing onto Luciano's hand and tugging on it. Mineka raised an eyebrow at Quinn, shooting him a distasteful look. Luci looked at his hand with a blank stare, shrugging it off her, meanwhile looking down at Lucille then back at Quinn "I'm kind of in the middle of something." She spoke in a serious tone "This is gonna end terribly." Luciano thought while the brothers held confused faces, she let out a sigh as she stood up and set Lucille down gently "I'll be right back okay buttercup?" she inquired and Lucille nodded, she didn't want Luci to go with him.

'You sure you want to see?" She questioned, sitting on the floor cross-legged "Y-yeah...what harm could it be..?" Quinn stuttered, inquiring as he looked at her, he didn't want to hurt her feelings but his beliefs were squashing his feelings for her.

"Harmful to your virginity cupcake, which I already took but... Eh." she murmured before starting to shift into her wolf form. Her bones reconstructed and snapped together, fur sprouting from her body. He froze and watched, he only ever experienced his shift and never bothered to watch someone else do it. His eyes widened, quickly covering them as her clothes tore off her body and after awhile she was an abnormally large white wolf with purple eyes. She jumped on his bed and laid across his lap, almost knocking all the wind out of him. He opened his eyes as her form nuzzled him gently as she smiled, all fear and him being wary of her grew although he realized she won't hurt him. "...Thank god..." He thought as he petted her hesitantly, she could feel the concern of his safety plaguing him and she could feel herself reeling back into her antisocial behavior. She leaned up and rubbed her nose against his, to a person in wolf form that was the equivalent to a kiss on the lips. He blushed and tried to muster a genuine smile, it failing miserably as a fake one replaced it. Her tail faltered in it's wagging as she ruffled his hair with her snout.

Axel didn't mind the touch from her at all, letting out a soft howl which Quinn bit back to his best ability. "What is it?" He asked as she suddenly backed off and jumped off the bed. "You don't even want me to touch you, you're scared I'll hurt you?" Luciano spoke to him telepathically, feeling Axel's and his emotions. Quinn froze a little "I-I" he stuttered, trying to find an excuse before she reads his mind. "Just tell me you don't want to be with me anymore," she said bluntly, her eyes dimming and losing the spark they had earlier.

"I-I-I don't want-" Quinn's hand flew over his mouth suddenly as a low growl rippled in his throat "Shut up! We love her!" Axel hissed to him telepathically and Quinn rolled his eyes and cast him to the deeper part of his mind "-to be with you for what you are, no matter how good a person you are to me, to my family. I just can't be with a demon" Quinn said empathetically, he made Axel go away. "What's your next step? Reject me? Kill your wolf?" Luciano said, her voice cracked as she withheld a whimper of sadness. She knew it, knew it was coming so it didn't hurt as much but it still did.

Before he could tell her 'No, that he wanted to try to be with her' she was already at the door "You could keep that offer and shove it up your ass, you already said you don't want me for me so just reject me" Luciano spoke quickly, rather than her voice cracking, her tone stoic and dry as she shook her head and left the room.
