Chapter 17: My gift

Di Laurentis fam is complete! Nagkataon na walang ginagawa ang mga tito at tita ko kaya nakisabay sa trip ng mga pinsan ko, so did mom and dad. We had family dinner. Nandito kami sa Hotel na pagmamay-ari ni Tito Oliver. It's one of the biggest and luxurious hotel in the country.

I actually didn't expect them to be all here. Last week dumating sina tita Rean and tito Oliver galing Australia. Fresh from Singapore naman si tita Diana at tito Joeme. Last month naman si tito Jerome at tita Eliza. They were summoned here in the country to attend a big event next week.

"So what course are you planning to take hija?" Tanong ni tita Eliza sakin.

"Medtech po tita," I smiled a bit.

"I see," Tita Eliza smiled and nodded.

"Don't you want to study abroad?" Tanong ni tito Jerome.

"'Wag naman, wala na nga si Blaire samin. Pati bunso ko pa aalis," Patampong ani mom. We just laughed.

"Its part of growing, Lexien," Dad commented.

"'Etong mga anak ko nga, dito sa Pilipinas namamalagi," Tita Eliza said glancing at kuya Eli and Floyd.

"We're doing great here my," Kuya Eli answered. Tipid na ngumiti lang ang sagot ni kuya Floyd.

I actually haven't thought of studying abroad. It's not bad though. Should I try? I wanna try to be independent, like Blaire. At the second thought, wag nalang pala.

"Paanong hindi manatili, may jowa dito eh," Blaire whispered softly, making me and Mariah laughed a little.

We had a long chitchat with the oldies. We talked about school stuffs, future plans and bonded a little. When the oldies started to talk about business stuff, that's when we got ourselves excused. We'll just get bored listening to their deals and business transactions.

Hinila ako ni Ate Quinn, palabas ng restaurant. Sumunod naman si Mariah at Blaire. I didn't saw the boys. Well they're old enough to know about the oldies talks.

"What about the boys?" Tanong ko sa kanila.

"Matatanda nayun, Lex. Kaya na nila sarili nila." Ate Quinn said. I just nodded.

"Are we staying overnight?" Rinig kong tanong ni Mariah.

"Omg, of course!" Blaire said with excitement and giggled a bit.

"Basta ayoko ka-roommate si Blaire," Ate Quinn said nonchalantly.

"Duh! Obviously," Blaire rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed.

These two, really love to annoy each other. As always. Thats their way of showing how they love each other.

As we make our way to the elevator, Im thinking of some ways to bond with them. I've been really busy these past few days and haven't bond with them for a while.

"Why don't we just stay in one room?" Suhestiyon ko sa kanila. I just want to spend more time with them. Especially Blaire, kakarating n'ya lang.

"Okay lang to me." Mariah answered and smiled.

"What about you Blaire? Ate Quinn?" Tanong ko sa kanilang dalawa. "Please, birthday ko naman" I pleaded and slightly pouted. "Come on, I missed you guys."

Blaire and ate Quinn exchange glances and nodded in defeat. "Fine," Sabay nilang sabi. I smiled widely. I almost clap my hands because of joy. Finally!
