Napatingin ako sa phone ko. May nagtext. I opened my messages.

'Goodnight, sleep well'

Napangiti ako. Ayon na naman ang pakiramdam na hindi ko magawang maipaliwanag, pero nangingibabaw sa'kin ang  saya.

Agad akon tumugon.

'G'night'

Sent!

I can't help but think about what he did last time. His small effort makes my heart melt. I'm very grateful for that. It's something that I'd treasure.

Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip nang tumunog ang cellphone ko, may tumatawag. It was a unknown number but I ended up answering.

"Lexi!"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. Oh my goodness!

"Mariah!" I exclaimed.

It's Xena Mariah Di Laurentis. My dear cousin. It's been years since we last saw each other. She lives in Australia kung saan nandoon din ang lolo at lola ko.

"Oh my goodness! Hi cuz!" I can hear happiness and excitement in her voice.

"You're here in the Philippines?!"

"Yes! Actually I just arrived this morning."

Napangiti ako. Finally! Magkikita na ulit kami!

"For real?!" I exclaimed.

"Of course! I wanna hangout with you guys!"

"There's no way we wouldn't!"

"Yay! Im so excited!"

It was already past midnight when we decided to end our call. I still can't believe it! We definitely need to catch up. I already messaged my other cousins. Binalitaan ko sila sa pag-uwi ni Mariah. I heard yung kuya n'ya ay susunod daw. I don't quite remember the last time we had a get together. Nagkikita naman kami minsan magpinsan pero palaging may kulang, isa nadun si Mariah.

It was already nine in the morning when I decided to get up from my bed. Agad akong naligo at nagbihis.

"Claire!"

I heard Blaire called me. Napalingon ako sa kanya.

"What?"

Agad s'yang tumabi sakin. I'm eating my breakfast right now.

"You guys are so unfair!" She hissed. I raised my brows.

"Unfair? Who?"

"You and Mariah! I know she called you last night! Di n'yo man lang ako sinali!" Nagtatampo n'yang sabi.

"Oh, nakalimutan kita sorry." Pang iinis ko sa kanya. She look at me, clearly annoyed.

"Whatever, anyways clear your sched next weekend."

"Why?"

"Dahil kumpleto na tayong magpipinsan next week!"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. Oh, to the Em, to the G! Napatili kaming dalawa sa saya. Finally magkikita na ulit kaming magpipinsan.

I went to school early because Alec asked me to be there early. I secretly rolled my eyes. Halos hindi na ako makatulog kakaisip kung ano ang dahilan kung bakit n'ya 'ko pinapupunta ng maaga. Nag effort pa talaga ako na gumising ng maaga.

I texted him that I'm at the school garden already. Napag-usapan namin na dito magkita. Ewan, trip ko lang.

I really like it here, since it's quite and very peaceful. May mga pumupunta naman dito during break pero iilan lang naman. Umupo ako sa bench na nasa ilalim ng malaking puno. It's only 6:17 AM kaya dama ko ang lamig ng hangin. It's fine though I'm wearing a hoodie above my uniform.
