Chapter 18: Same

"Oreo! Come here baby," Malambing na tawag ko sa aso ko. Yep, I named him Oreo.

That night I hardly slept because of the thought that I finally have a dog. I was thinking of cute names to name him. I opened the fridge to look for some snacks. The first thing I saw was a pack of oreo, my favorite. And I suddenly want to name him Oreo! So that's when I started calling him Oreo.

It suited him perfectly since he's black and white in color.

Oreo looked at me happily and ran towards me. He knows Im giving him his favorite snacks. He's already five months old. He was only two months old when I had him.

Mom and dad, both agreed for me to keep Oreo, they also told me to be responsible in taking care of my dog. Of course, I will! And here comes Blaire, who got super excited and bought bunch of things for Oreo! Such as collars, pillow, vitamins, brush and a dog house! Dahil sa dami ng pinamili n'ya konti nalang ang kailangan kong bilhin. Nakatipid pa 'ko.

Im really thankful that Alec gave me such a cute and adorable puppy. Oreo is my stress reliever and comfort. Palagi s'yang nasa tabi ko. Ayoko na nawawala s'ya sa paningin ko. Nasanay na rin s'ya na tumabi sakin sa pagtulog. Luckily, he never made a mess inside my room. He's a well trained dog, he knows the proper place to pee and poo.

"Is he doing good?" Alec asked from the other line. I smiled and nodded, and look at Oreo who's enjoying his food.

Ma and Alec are currently on face time. Bukas pa s'ya makakapunta dito sa bahay. May lakad s'ya ngayon.

"And you? You doing good?" Tanong ko kay Alec.

He just smiled and nodded.

"Kailan graduation mo?" He asked while trying to fix his polo. May family dinner sila mamaya ng family n'ya.

I looked at my phone and viewed my schedules. "Two weeks from now."

"Alright, I'll be there."

"Dapat lang," He just chuckled and shook his head.

He sighed, "I have to go. I'll text when you I get there," Napatingin ako sa wall clock na nasa kwarto ko. Oh, It's nearing 7 PM. I pouted and lazily nodded.

"Be safe," I softly said.

"I will," He smiled and ended the call.

Nothing really happened the whole week before graduation. Just some casual things, graduation preparations and school stuffs. I had fun time playing with Oreo whenever I have time. Alec kept me updated wherever he goes.

Kakauwi ko lang galing sa school. Sila manang Flor at manong Edi lang ang nasa bahay. Mom and dad flew to US. As usual business. And Blaire flew back to Australia three days ago. I felt sad, I mean we bonded, yes. Pero palang kulang parin. I might not show it but I do miss her. Namimiss ko na agad s'ya. I heavily sighed and went straight to my bedroom.

I change my clothes and jumped to bed. Hell, Im exhausted. I was about to take a nap when someone knocked on my door. Is it manang Flor?

"Come in!" Napaayos ako ng upo mula sa pagkakahiga. The door slightly opened revealing Oreo, I instantly smiled. Ah, my baby.

"Oreo!" I exclaimed. He immediately went and tried to climb my bed, but his legs were short causing him to fail. I laughed a bit. He look so adorable trying hard to reach my bed.

I move to the edge and help him up.

"You miss me?" Malambing na ani ko. He licked my hands and nuzzled close to my legs. Napangiti ako.
