Taylor sighed as she leaned her head against the window. "Everything alright there Ms. Swift?"
"Yeah, It's just been a late night..., I mean, they don't call it Saturday Night Live for nothing." Her bodyguard nodded understandable, it was just that Taylor wasn't expecting to be out so late with Martha and Gigi at the after party. She was expecting to be there for maybe an hour or so but one drink led to another and when her bodyguard finally informed her what time it was, she knew she needed to get home. The afterparty wasn't wild or anything. She sipped a few drinks, chatted with the different cast members, and caught up with her friends who came to support her. She has always loved each of her times on SNL and this experience was no different.
"Well we should be arriving in about 15 minutes or so. Traffic is a bit heavy tonight."
"No worries, thanks for driving."
"You don't have to thank me for doing my job."

Taylor slid the key into the door and softly pushed it open, as she stepped inside. She couldn't help the big grin that spread over her face as she was surprised with simple, handmade poster that read, "yay for snl!" painted delicately in Karlie's handwriting. She quietly made her way upstairs into the bedroom where she saw Karlie curled up with her head on Taylor's pillow. She couldn't help but smile when she saw that either. She quickly changed and brushed her teeth before slipping under the covers. The dip of her figure on the bed was enough to have Karlie stir slightly in her sleep, "Hey baby," Karlie smiled, "You did an amazing job by the way."
"Thank you. I saw your sign by the way. It made me smile. You're pretty amazing too." Taylor settled in, and lightly brushed Karlie's hair behind her ear.
"It was the least I could do, I wish I could have come to support you."
"I know, but coming home to you is all that I could have asked for."
Karlie just smiled and pressed a small kiss to Taylor's lips. "Same. How was the afterparty?"
"It was good it was kinda awkward in some instances. I didn't realize how long I was there for, I lost track of time. I was hoping to socialize a bit and then come home sooner."
"It's okay. It's good for you to get out sometimes, it makes you realize how much you missed me when you come back." Karlie teased. A small pause enveloped the room, "Why was it awkward? And why didn't you leave if it was awkward."
Taylor sighed, "I don't know... It was just really hard because Dianna was there. I wanted to leave so badly. I didn't realize that she would be there. I mean I saw her in the audience during my performances but I don't know why I didn't think she would be there at the after party too."
Karlie reached out her hand that she had tucked under Taylor's pillow, to wrap it softly over Taylor's form. "That makes sense. I understand why that would be awkward." These were the moments that Taylor appreciated of Karlie. She did her best to understand and to sympathize with Taylor in every aspect. She settled her head into the crook of Karlie's neck before contining, "It was okay. I mean I had a drink which really helped but also while it was awkward, it wasn't too bad. I think it just shocked me and I only had to say a brief hello," Karlie hummed in response. "But it wasn't awkward for too long."
"Really? Why?"
"Because I've been so loved by you that seeing her doesn't hurt as much as it used to. Honestly, it just emphasizes to me more that what I have now is so special, and beautiful, and unique, and amazing."
Karlie smiled at that. "Well thanks for making everything so special, and beautiful, and unique, and amazing. I think I'm a little lucky to have you."
"Just a little lucky?" Taylor teased.
"Okay, maybe a lot lucky." Karlie pressed a light kiss to her forehead. "Did you eat any of the cake that I had downstairs for you?"
"You made cake!?"
"You know me, I am excellent at ordering at the Milk Bar."
"You're a goof."
"I'm your goof."
"No I didn't see it, I wanted to kinda get to bed as soon as possible. It's been a long day and night. But I am very excited to eat the cake that you used your ordering skills for."
"Sounds good."

It was a lazy Sunday morning the next day and as they finally managed to get downstairs.
"I can't believe I didn't see all of these other signs!" Taylor exclaimed. "I just saw the first one. These are the best!" The signs were everywhere, in the kitchen, living room, dining room, hallway, and even one plastered on the wall near the stairs. "How did I not notice any of these other ones?"
"Don't know babe."
"Why did you make so many?"
"I wanted for you to see at least one or multiple no matter where you went last night in the house. There's one in the bathroom too."
Taylor laughed, "You're so extra, but I love that. Thank you."
"Anything for my girl. Do you want cake for breakfast?"
"Are you supposed to be doing that miss model?"
"Eh, it's not everyday that your girlfriend performed on SNL." Karlie winked, "Do you want any ice cream with it?"
Taylor shook her head, "I don't think that much sugar in the morning would be good. But I'm going to start some coffee. Want any?"
"Yes please."
Moments later they were on the couch, while Taylor read a book as Karlie snuggled with Olivia and it occurred to Taylor that there was no other person who she would have loved to share coffee and cake with in the morning.
