PROMPT: Can you post a coffee shop AU mixed with a first kiss. I love your stories!

Taylor was already behind the counter when Karlie arrived at work, blonde hair still in its messy bun from her late class from NYU the previous evening. Taylor looked disgustingly put together, her black jeans and white button up didn't have a stain on them and her curls were tamed, falling around her shoulders in an effortless curtain.

"Morning." Karlie's grunt was met with a smile from Taylor, small but sincere.

"Good morning, Karlie. How was your afternoon yesterday?" Taylor was walking around the small shop now, taking the chairs off the tables and prepping for the day. Karlie simply watched, leaning against the counter and sipping from her mug of coffee she had brought from the cafeteria that morning.

"Delightful. C++ is still kicking my ass." She had a project coming up, was trying to think of a time she could study and decided to simply bring her books to all of her upcoming shifts.

"Still doing Computer Science? I thought you said you were leaning towards a fashion major." Taylor slapped Karlie's knee as she walked by, the blonde having jumped to sit up on the counter. "You better wipe that down before opening."

"I thought it over more and I just know my mother would kill me if I decided to switch after having so much done already. She doesn't think fashion has the biggest future compared to computer science." Karlie swung her long legs back and forth, casually sipping from her coffee. It always bothered Taylor how Karlie could talk about something that clearly bothered her as if it was old news.

"Karlie, I've seen your work and concepts you've created. You're incredibly talented." Taylor turned the sign on the door to open and went back behind the counter.

"Thanks, but I can't seriously live off of a designer's salary. It's just so hard to break into that industry. I already owe my mom and dad too much as it is. They're paying for me to be here and you and I both know NYU isn't the cheapest of options." She shrugged. "Anyways, it's not your problem so don't worry about it for me. I know how much of a worrier you can be."

Karlie finished her coffee and turned towards the coffee machines and switched all of them on to warm them up for the day.

Taylor watched her for a minute, brows furrowed until she sighed and turned to a customer that walked in, deciding Karlie should have the choice to do what she wanted.

Karlie was curled on the floor behind the counter, clutching her stomach and laughing.

"Taylor, you can't seriously think that your customer service smile is the same as your real smile." Karlie was wheezing, her face red. Taylor looked down at her from where she was standing next to a coffee machine, arms crossed with a pout on her face.

"It feels perfectly genuine to me." Taylor whined.

"To someone you don't know I'm sure it's very charming. To me it looks like you're in physical pain." Karlie was desperately trying to catch her breath and once she managed to take a deep breath she imitated Taylor's smile she used with all the customers. It turned into a more exaggerated grimace than anything.

"You're lying." Taylor laughed and a smile graced her face, a real smile, and reached to help Karlie up off the floor. The taller girl stood up faster than expected and crashed into Taylor, sending them both into a giggle fit as they huddled close together, leaning on each other.

They sobered when a throat cleared and looked up to find Taylor's girlfriend, Dianna, watching them with narrowed eyes.

"Hey babe. I thought your shift ended at noon today?" The girl looked at the watch wrapped around her thin wrist. "It's almost two."
