Sorry for the bad updating. Life has gotten busy again. But I was thinking of starting another book of one shots. Like a Kaylor Family One Shots book or something like that. Anyways... votes, comments, follows are always appreciated!

She would be perfectly fine if Taylor had just kept her straight hair. Karlie's sure of it. Sure, Karlie often caught herself staring at Taylor dreamily from across the room- but that was platonic. Taylor with straightened hair, was beautiful. Taylor was always beautiful in Karlie's mind. Her soft blue eyes, her perfectly put blush, and her cute little nose all made up the face Karlie was so crazy for. But Taylor with curly hair. God, She was breathtaking.

One of Karlie's favorite things is how Taylor's hair is always curly when she wakes up in the mornings, and Karlie just loves it. She remembers when she woke up next to the singer for the first time, she was surprised to see that her normal hair had turned into a messy bedhead with curls springing off her head. Taylor was still asleep with her back to Karlie that first morning, and she couldn't resist the urge to reach out and run her fingers through it. A smile formed on her lips as she felt her curls under her fingers.

That moment didn't last long, however. Taylor rolled over to face her with a sleepy grumble that sounded something like "'Rya doing?"

It was then that Karlie laughed and decided that half-asleep Taylor would soon become one of her favorite versions of the singer. Maybe they couldn't do all the things that most couples did. But as long as they could kiss each other all night and wake up to each other's curly hair, then Karlie could be happy.

The opening of the master bathroom door snapped Karlie out of her daydream and she quickly shot her eyes across the room as Taylor finished getting ready for her VMA's at home video acceptance. While Karlie has seen Taylor's curls on numerous occasions she was not prepared at all for the sight in front of her. Taylors eyes, still as blue and soft as always, her lips were so perfect and pink, but her hair- she hadn't straightened it today and it lay in a cute little mess of curls on her head, making the singer look even more gorgeous to Karlie. Karlie hated and loved this. Hated how mushy a pile of curls could make her, but loving how truly beautiful Taylor looked at this very moment.

"Karlie? Karlie?" Taylor's voice shook Karlie out of her daze.

"Sorry, I spaced out for a moment, what was it you were saying?" Nice save, Karlie. This was not going well.

"I was just asking about what you wanted to help me set up a good location for my video... but um, you were kind of looking at me funny. Is there something on my face?"

Karlie weighed up her options. Either tell Taylor the truth and say she was distracted by the beauty of her curls, or say she had toothpaste or something on her face when she clearly didn't. She decided to go with a toned down version of the first option. "It's um, it's just I wasn't expecting the curls I guess," she let out an awkward laugh, "Cause you've been straightening your hair nearly every day for the past few years."

"Oh that's it?"

"What's it?"

"The curls."

"Yeah, the curls. You should bring them back."

"You've said this before."

"Yes, I know." Karlie watched as Taylor's hair bounced lightly as she walked over to her nightstand to pull something out. "I just wanted to tell you again."

Taylor just laughs and rolls her eyes, "Want to help me choose a blouse?"

Karlie knows that it is just a minor change in Taylor's appearance but it still was ruining Karlie in the most romantic way possible. Karlie could barely focus on the array of colors before Taylor. There was a little ringlet resting on Taylor's forehead, looking so delicate and tender. So really it wasn't Karlie's fault when her fingers reached out to stroke the ringlet, an unmistakably fond expression on her face.

"I love your curls so much."

"Mmmhmmm. We're focusing on a blouse babe." Taylor responds almost lazily, while shuffling through the different colors and designs.

"I'm just saying that you look really, really beautiful."

"Mmmhmmm."

Karlie stepped behind Taylor, "Do you know what I thought about you the very first time I saw you?" She asked, her voice adopting a slightly serious yet underlyingly adoring tone that made Taylor's heart flutter without being asked.

God, that was so long ago. Taylor shook her head no.

"I thought you looked beautiful, of course you were beautiful... but I was hoping for curls. Even back then."

"Oh shut up."

"It's true! I had to wait all the way until Big Sur and when I saw them for the first time, I think you thought I went mad. I just love them. They make you look so effortlessly beautiful on top of everything else."

Taylor turned and met Karlie's green eyes with a blushing smile.

"When did you get so good at using your words?" Taylor asked. A laugh rumbled through her chest and Karlie's smile grew.

"Probably since I started dating you." Karlie admitted, "You know I am fiercely competitive and if we have another vogue shoot, I am going to bring you down." making the singer laugh.

"Okay but seriously though, Tree said she needs the video as soon as possible. What shirt should I wear?"

They settle on a striped pattern, blue to bring out Taylor's eyes. Karlie helps Taylor figure out where to film the video. Which room in the house that would be best.

They finally record the video and send it off to Tree. As Karlie types away on her phone before she feels Taylor's arms wrap around her. "So, I heard that you liked my curls."

Karlie's laugh was cut off by a soft pair of lips meeting her own. Taylor kissed softly but passionately. Karlie determined in that moment that her kisses were as soft as her hair. Karlie quickly reached a hand up to tangle her fingers in the curly blonde hair she fawned after so much this morning, smiling into the mouth of the man she has fawned after even more.
