My mood got even worse after I saw them. Malaki ang bawat hakbang ko pabalik ng classroom. I didn't even buy something in our canteen during my break. I was dead serious that whole class. Noong mag-uwian na, dumiretso ako agad sa library kung saan may pagpupulong si Kuya Kevin.

Few students were there but mostly were College students. Sabay-sabay siguro ang pagpupulong na naroon. Loud voices were not allowed inside the library but their low murmurs were enough to talk with each other.

There's an air conditioner here so I couldn't blame them why they want here. I spotted my brother from the entrance. I sighed and went to an isolated desk in one corner. I sent my brother a message that I'm already in the library.

Inilapag ko ang aking bag sa ibabaw ng lamesa. Luminga linga sa paligid, puro mga bookshelves ang nasa paligid ko. Malayo na kasi ang ibang mga lamesa mula sa aking puwesto.

I just pulled out some books. I am not specific to the genre and type of book that I'm picking. I just want to make myself busy while my brother is in the meeting. I got a book with pictures on it. Namangha ako sa mga nakita kaya hindi ako na-bored.

Hindi ko na binasa ang ibang librong nakuha ko. Those books were randomly chosen but my attention was focused on one book. I think it was about astronomy. Different pictures of celestial bodies were there. The colors are vibrant and some details are also written on it.

I had a good time reading that book. Nakakapanibago para sa akin dahil hindi naman talaga ako mahilig sa pagbabasa. I took out my water bottle from my bag and drank.

The books helped me to be at least calm.

Nakarinig ako ng kaluskos mula sa aking gilid. Nangunot ang aking noo at ibinaba ang aking water bottle. A guy appeared from behind of a book shelf, holding his bag using his one hand and the other hand holds a book. He smiled a bit before he walked towards me.

I arched my one brow and returned my water bottle back in my bag smoothly.

"You seem alone," his deep voice was laced with gentleness.

Umirap ako. I suddenly remembered someone's voice that has a very soothing tone and gentle mouth. I snorted.

"Yeah. I'm actually waiting for my brother. I thought that it's a good spot here," paliwanag ko nang maka-upo siya sa kabilang bahagi ng lamesa.

He's Sergio, a closed friend of my brother. He has been kind and funny to me. Minsa'y tahimik lamang kapag nagkakasama silang mga magbabarkada. He's already in his last year. Nababalitaan kong aalis din siya upang makapunta ng Maynila pagkatapos maka-graduate.

"How did you find me here?" I asked to break the long silence between us.

"Uh... Naghahanap kasi ako ng mga libro na magagamit ko para sa research namin. Saktong natanaw kita rito."

"I assume that research in college is a different level. Nahihirapan ako sa subject na iyon, e," I chuckled and browse the pages of the book that I'm reading.

Sergio gasped and leaned on the book. I hide my smirk. He's now looking at the pictures.

"Puwede naman kitang turuan tungkol doon, Diane. In fact, I'm involved in peer tutoring after my classes," Sergio stated.

Ngumuso ako at tumango-tango.

"Minsan kasi hindi ako nakakasabay sa mga discussions namin. I guess I'm a slow learner," humagikhik ako.

He chuckled too and returned his eyes on mine. I shifted on my seat, crossed my arms over my chest.

"That's okay. Hindi naman kailangang magmadali sa pagkatuto. As long as you're in a process, it's still counted as a learning 'til you understand it well in the future," marahang saad niya habang nakatitig sa aking mga mata.
