Hinata's POV

As I stood outside the door, I felt extremely nervous. I haven't actually been in an actual school before. How will the students be like? Are they going to welcome me? Will it be better than home? Well, it probably will be, because at home, my father was making my life a LIVING HELL, and I wanted to get out of there ASAP, which I could do once I turned 16. You're probably wondering, "Well, what about your mother?" Well, that's a subject I don't want to talk about. The only reason I'm not at home is because my father allowed my younger sister Hanabi and I to leave and live with our cousin Neji as long as we attend monthly clan meetings back in Tokyo every Sunday. And that's how I'm in school now for the first time in my life to start my second term of junior year in Konoha High.

After I walked to school, I asked for directions and went to the principal's office. A dark-haired lady named Shizune greeted me and gave me my schedule and instructed me to go to my homeroom teacher, who was outside the door, and he'll help me from there. I got out and met the homeroom teacher, who's name was Kakashi and he told me that when we got to the classroom to stay outside until he called me in.

"You can come in now and introduce yourself."

I opened the door and saw around 18 faces in the classroom, not counting the teacher's. I've never been in a group that big, and felt nervous. I then introduced myself. "H-hi, m-my name is H-hinata H-hyuga, a-and I was h-homeschooled b-before I came h-here." I was so nervous. I took a look at the faces in the classroom. One stood out to me. A blonde-haired guy who had cat-like whiskers on his cheeks and the bluest of eyes, which reminded me of the ocean. He was really cute, and the thought made me blush. I also kinda remember seeing that face before. Then I saw Neji, and he waved at me, though he kept a straight face. As I took my seat, the blonde-haired guy, who sat beside me, introduced himself. "Hi there, I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" He was really cheerful, and his blue eyes sparkled, making me blush harder. "H-hi there, N-naruto-kun." I saw him blush a little and he kinda zoned out after that. Then the other person next to me, a girl with brown panda buns and brown eyes, also introduced herself. Her name was Tenten and she said everyone here were juniors (except her and two others, they were seniors) and most of them were pretty nice so there was nothing to worry about.

We were all interrupted by Kakashi-sensei quieting us down by threatening to give us extra homework.

"Naruto!"

Kakashi-sensei called on him, and he seemed startled. "I told you to pay attention. And by the way, I also told you that you're gonna be Hinata's tour guide for her first week in school since you have the same classes." I blushed hard at this. I couldn't believe that I'm gonna get a cute guy to be my tour guide for a week. I looked at him and he was blushing a little too. Then, as Kakashi-sensei got on with the lesson, I and most of the class took notes and listened. I peeked over at Naruto-kun and saw him gazing outside. I wonder what it was that he was thinking about.

After the bell rang, we got out of class. Naruto-kun guided me to our next class, which was English with a transfer teacher named Killer Bee. On the way, he brushed off a bunch of fan girls as we talked to each other.

"So, where did you go to school before here?," He asked. I don't think he listened to my introduction.

"Uh... I w-was h-homeschooled."

"Cool! So I take it that ya haven't been in a school before?"

"W-well, n-no."

He nodded his head in understanding. "Alright. Well, you seem like a nice person. I hope we can be good friends." He then grinned at me. I started blushing again, but I managed to let out a small smile.

He continued on. "By the way, ya know what ya wanna be when you grow up?"

"W-well, I w-want t-to be a d-doctor. B-but I'm probably g-going t-to be a b-businesswoman." I was still nervous and frowned at the thought of being in business.

"Well, you sound like ya don't wanna be in business." Then, his expression changed. "Wait, do you have anything to do with the Hyuga Automotive Company?"

I lied. "U-uh, n-no I d-don't!" I didn't want him to know.

He seemed to relax. "Oh, that's a relief. I heard they've done some shady shit there before." I grimaced because it was true. "And besides, you don't seem like one of them. You seem like a good person." I started blushing again.

"Anyway, I'm not gonna press further." I was relieved. "Well, when I grow up, I wanna become one of the greatest NBA player of all time. I wanna be like Kobe, y'know?"

He likes basketball? This guy is pretty interesting. I blushed at that part.

"Y-you like the L-lakers?"

"Ya, I do. Some of my family used to live in Los Angeles, and a couple of years ago, I got to go see a Lakers game, y'know?"

"W-wow N-naruto-kun. P-personally, I l-like the H-houston Rockets."

"Oh really?" He smiled at me, which made me blush and it also made me feel real good. We then made it to the classroom. Inside was an old black guy with white hair and glasses that looked like swimming goggles. He introduced himself as "Killer Bee", and he was always talking in a weird rapping style. With all due respect, he doesn't seem like English teacher material. I looked at Naruto-kun again, and he was again looking out the window again. I wonder what he's looking at.

After the bell rang again, Naruto-kun and I were talking while we were going to lunch.

"When we get to lunch, you can sit with us. Imma introduce ya to the entire gang, y'know?"

"A-alright."

"Hey, ya know a guy named Neji Hyuga?"

"Y-yeah, I do. He's my c-cousin."

"Does he always look like a totem pole statue?"

I giggled. Now that I thought about, Neji always has a straight face, like a totem pole statue. "I g-guess." He chuckled at that.

We talked a little more, then got to the lunch table and I sat with Naruto-kun. And I had a feeling that today was going to be a good day.
