The day of the party

Naruto's POV

I trembled as I got ready. I've never felt as nervous before as I was right now, y'know? I mean, I'm pretty much going on a date with Hinata, and my body was shaking. I managed to recollect myself a little by listening to some Kid Cudi, and I started to jog my memory back to the plan.

I told Hinata that I would pick her up at 6, and that we would go to a restaurant together before the party started to have some food. I didn't tell her what restaurant it was, and the restaurant I picked was more of a rich person restaurant, and my pockets might feel this one, but hey, I gotta treat myself sometimes. Then we'd go to the party and have some fun, but it does include a dance, which is probably gonna be a bit awkward. And then, we're probably gonna return at 11, which is what I've done before. I asked Hinata if Neji was coming to, but she said he wasn't, which didn't surprise me.

After I finished getting ready, I checked the time. It was 5:57, and I just received a text, so I knew it was showtime. I took one second to look at myself. I was wearing a blue suit and pants with a bright orange tie, since I heard from somewhere that blue and orange work kinda well together. It also made me look like I played for the New York Knicks. Then, I got my keys, locked my door, and set off on my journey to the elevator.

I got down to Hinata's floor, then made her way to her door. I took a deep breath, and then I knocked. I was sweating a lot on the inside, and I felt nervous as hell. Finally the door opened, and I saw a girl with brown hair. I immediately recognized her as Hinata's sister, and I quickly said, "Oh, hey, Hanabi!" She waved back, and I asked, "So, um, you know where your sister is?" I could feel my face heat up a little as I said that.

"Oh, my sister? She's almost done getting ready," Hanabi said. "Are you the reason why she's dressing up so fancy?" I felt my face getting a little more red. "Oh, well, I guess I am," I managed to say while scratching the back of my head. We ended up in an awkward silence for about a minute, before finally Hinata finally came out. She was definitely fancy, wearing a sparkly purple dress, and she looked amazing. It took all of my might to not drop my jaw, y'know?

"Oh, Hinata!" I said. Since I sensed that things were about to get awkward with her sister there too,  I quickly said, "So, you ready to go?" She nodded her head, and off we went.

After we heard the door close, Hinata told me, "I-I'm sorry." I looked at her beautiful face and asked, "For what?" She blushed a little, and said, "I w-was a l-little late, trying to m-make myself look good, and I can't even do that right." She seemed visibly upset, and the happy feeling I got from being around her started to fade when I sensed sadness from her. I said, "Hey Hinata," which got her attention. "What are you talking about. You look amazing. And c-cute. And even if you didn't, you can't let it ruin your day, am I right?" She slowly nodded her head. "Now today, you're gonna forget about everything in the past, and you're gonna have the best day of your life. And I'll make sure that happens. Deal?"

Hinata's POV

I just stared at him, not knowing what to say. He looked so cute, and he seemed like he actually cares about me. He looked at me, and smiled, which almost made me melt. And at that moment, I knew that I was falling in love with him. Too bad this was only a friendly date, but I wouldn't let  "D-deal," I said, feeling myself smile. "Alright!" he said, fist-pumping in the air like he was celebrating in basketball. I couldn't help but giggle a little. "S-so, when are we g-going?" He looked at me, then said, "Oh, I almost forgot about that," while scratching his head, which looked kinda cute. "Let's go now," he said, and we zoomed to the elevator.
