Hinata's POV

"W-well, I was j-just wondering. Uh, w-would you like to g-go out w-with me t-to the d-dance?"

When I heard those words, my eyes widened. I pinched myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. "D-do you m-mean it?" was all I had to say then, since I still couldn't believe it. "Y-yeah, I do," he replied, and a smile broke out onto his face, which just made my day. "So, um," he continued, "Not trying to sound rude, but is that gonna be a yes, or a no?"

"Yes," I told him, a smile on my face too. I don't remember a time when I felt happier. "Cool," he said, "So, um, I guess I'll text you the time later today." I nodded my head, excited for next Saturday. "Oh, and one more thing," he said. "I don't know if anyone has told you this yet, but you look cute when you smile. Like, really cute. So I'd suggest you do it more." I felt like I was on cloud nine right then. Your crush asking you out and calling cute? That type of stuff usually only happens in your dreams. I looked into his dreamy blue eyes, and felt my head getting light.

40 minutes later

I wake up, in what seems like a nurse's office. Immediately I get up, and I see Principal Tsunade and Naruto-kun. "W-what happened?" I said.

"I'll let Naruto here explain this one," Tsunade said, and my focus shifted to Naruto, who was blushing profusely. "Oh, well, you see, after I said that, um, you look kinda cute when you smiled, well, you kinda, um, f-fainted, and landed on my chest. S-so I had to, um, kinda carry you to Principal Tsunade, y'know? And yeah, that's pretty much what happened." His face was red as a tomato while he talked, which was kinda cute. "S-so, how long did you wait for me?" I asked, blushing a bit. Now that I think about, it was really nice of him to stay there for me. "Y-you were knocked out for like 40 minutes, Hinata," he replied. "And don't worry, I already told Neji. And he said that, um, we're gonna walk home together, since, y'know, we're pretty much neighbors." He started blushing again, I don't know why. "Ok," I said, and after a couple minutes getting ready, we left.

The walk back was a little awkward at first, but eventually we started chatting about what we were going to do for the weekend. Naruto talked about how he was going to Osaka later today and going to play some basketball tomorrow, and how they get the week off next week, which is when the party is. Meanwhile, I told him about how I had to go pretty much every week to Tokyo to come see my father, leaving out the part about who my father was.

After a short while, we reached the apartment. We managed to get to my apartment, and as I was about to unlock the door with my keys, I heard Naruto say, "So, I guess I'll keep in touch with you about everything soon." I nodded my head, and timidly said, "B-bye, Naruto-kun." He smiled that smile of his, which made me melt again, and said, "Bye, Hinata," and then he left.

When I got into my room, I took a second to process what just happened. Naruto-kun had just asked me out, called me cute, and walked home with me. I blushed when I finished, and I felt my smile just get bigger and bigger. Then, I heard, "Why are you smiling?" from behind me, and turned to find my sister Hanabi staring at me. "Also, who was that blonde-haired boy with you?" I wanted to keep that to myself, but I told her, "Oh, that was Naruto. He's in my school, and he lives in this apartment complex too." I was smiling again on the thought of Naruto-kun. "And why are you still smiling?" she asked. I brushed that off quickly and told her I was gonna get ready for work, and that's what I did.

Narrator POV

A blonde-haired woman, who looked relatively young, was making coffee in what seemed like a rather spacious kitchen. She finished making the coffee, then started her way upstairs. She finally made her way into a bedroom.

"So, what did you find out, Shion?" asked a man who had a pale complexion and white hair, yet having the facial features of a teenager. After the woman set the coffee on a table, she replied, "Well that blonde Naruto guy asked her out, and she said yes."

The pale dude raised his eyebrows. "That's... interesting, cousin," he said. "Well that blonde dude is a bozo anyways, so he'll probably lose her in like two months, and even if that doesn't happen, I'll probably will have a plan to get her." He smirked while he talked.

"How come you're so obsessed with her, Toneri?" Shion asked. "Well, you see, Hinata's dad owns a really big automotive. I am a pretty good, let's say dealer, so I know my way around business. Also her dad is pretty good friends with my dad, so if I bag her, not only will I get my dad's business, I might get her dad's too. And if her dad forced her to choose between that goofball and me, I'd like my chances." Shion nodded her head.

"So, we're not going to do anything right now, but maybe 3 or 4 months from now, if they manage to stick it out for that long, I'll take some measures to create some friction. So for now, I don't need you to do anything. Understand?" Shion nodded her head. "Now, I gotta make a call," Toneri said, and he left the room.
