Sorry I've been a bit slow to update this. I've been kinda busy over the past couple days, so my lazy ass didn't get around to writing for a long time. And as always, the only thing I own in the story is the plot and storyline. All rights belong to their respective owners. Some of the language and scenes may be adult.
Sakura's POV
I couldn't believe it. "S-sasuke-kun?"
He was standing there, wearing a blue shirt that said "76ers" on it that complimented his black hair and onyx eyes well. I had no idea what the stuff on his shirt meant, but he definitely looked pretty sexy in it. Wait, what was I just thinking? I blushed at that thought.
When his eyes met mine, his usually neutral expression turned into a slightly surprised one. "Sakura?" His eyes slightly widened and I swear I thought I saw a slight bit of pink on his cheeks.
I felt pretty nervous, as I always have around Sasuke-kun, because he has such a commanding presence in any room he's in. "So, where's Naruto?," he finally asked, after a long, awkward silence.
I took my time. "H-he's gone to g-get s-some s-stuff for his party t-tomorrow. H-he asked i-if we c-could j-just help c-clean up h-his place while h-he's gone." I was stuttering like crazy, as I always do in front of Sasuke-kun.
"Alright then," he said, in his usual monotone. It was weirdly alluring, unlike other people speaking in a monotone. "So, where do we start?"
"W-well, his house was actually k-kinda c-clean when I g-got here, s-so t-there's not m-much to actually d-do," I told him, still stuttering. I then told him what we had to do, and 30 minutes later, we were finished.
After we were done, I sat down on the couch. After another long, awkward silence, I asked Sasuke-kun, "W-what are w-we going to d-do n-now?"
"Honestly, I don't know. That Dobe should be here by now," he sighed as he slumped on a different couch. Then a smile crept on his face. "How about we play on his PS4? I mean, he's not here right now, and we're both pretty bored here, so why not? And don't worry, Naruto will be fine with it."
I considered this. I'm not a huge video game enthusiast, but I'll admit it was a bit boring and besides, Sasuke-kun asked me to, so I decided to go along with it. "O-ok, Sasuke-kun."
Sasuke then turned on the TV and booted up the console. "So, which game do you want to play?" I looked at the three games he was pointing at. One said NBA 2K14, another said FIFA 14, and the last one was Minecraft. I knew what Minecraft was, but I didn't know the other two, so I chose the 2K one. "Good choice," Sasuke-kun told me, smiling. My heart started beating faster, because I haven't seen Sasuke-kun smile a lot, and especially not at me.
After he loaded the game up, he gave me the second controller. Then we both sat on the floor, mere inches from each other. He then taught me basically how to play, and all of the rules in basketball. After I got the hang of the controls, Sasuke and I played a game together. Since he's played longer than me, he beat me comfortably. "Hey, that was actually pretty fun," he said. I looked at him, kinda confused. Weren't video games always supposed to be fun? I heard the door opening, but I guess Sasuke-kun didn't. "You know, it's kinda refreshing to play against someone else after playing against that Dobe for the past 3 years. It gets kinda annoying after a while." Then he smiled, again. I swear my heart was about to melt.
Suddenly, we heard a loud voice from the door. "WHAT WERE YOU SAYING, TEME?!"
Uh-oh. It looks like Naruto overheard the last thing, and that idiot took exception to it. "Exactly what you heard, dumbass," Sasuke-kun replied, not batting an eye. God, he looked so hot doing that, just nonchalantly shrugging off a hater. Wait, why was I thinking that again? I blushed again.
"Well, whatever. You're only saying that because I'm better than you at 2k," Naruto retorted. "Well, that's all you do when you're not working or at school," Sasuke-kun replied.
Naruto seemed to get angry again, but then just slumped on the couch. "Whatever, you win. Anyway, how did the place look?"
I answered. "It actually wasn't that bad. Just a few minor messes, that was all. You keep the house pretty clean, Naruto." I was genuinely surprised at how clean Naruto kept his apartment. I was expecting it to be pretty dirty.
"Thanks Sakura. I've already sent out invites to everyone. Now all I have to do is set up everything tomorrow, and we'll be ready." He them smiled and sighed.
"So, who did you invite?" I was curious.
"Well, I invited you, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Kiba, Shino, Neji, Lee, Tenten, Tamaki, Sai and Karin, along with some friends from work. Oh, and H-hinata." He started blushing, and I raised my eyebrow. I started suspecting that he liked her, because he was always acting awkwardly around her and his cheeks go red every time her name is mentioned. If only he knew.
I asked him a question. "Isn't Tamaki that one girl who sits by herself? And who are the guys you're inviting from work? Also, why are you inviting Karin?" After what happened, I wasn't on the best of terms with Karin, but I finally understood why she did what she did.
"Well, I don't think that it's fun to be alone for awhile, so I invited Tamaki. As for Karin, just because you may not like her, doesn't mean I can just not invite my cousin. And I'll let the guys that work with me introduce themselves when they come," he replied, a little irritated. I figured that he must've been tired, so I wasn't surprised.
"Alright Dobe, I'm gonna have to go now. My parents want me back now," Sasuke-kun said. I didn't want to be stuck with Naruto after what happened, so I made an excuse for myself. Naruto nodded his head, then led us to the door and we said our goodbyes. Then I left, excited for tomorrow.
