Naruto's POV
After I had that little argument with Sasuke, I met Hinata and took her to Kakashi-sensei's class around 2 minutes after the bell rang cuz she's still a little unfamiliar with her way around the school. After we got to class, I went to Shikamaru, Neji, and Sasuke.
"Hey guys! How are ya doing?," I asked them.
"It's been pretty troublesome," Shikamaru replied.
"Oh hey there Dobe," Sasuke said.
"Stop saying that, Teme!" Man, that guy is always acting so cool.
We then got into an argument on who was better at basketball, but then we stopped because then that old perv Kakashi-sensei finally came, and we went on with school.
A while later
Later on in the day, as Hinata and I were on our way to the gymnasium for our first day of gym class when I realized that I didn't get her damn number. Usually, when a new student comes to our class, I ask for their number so that I can add them to the group chat between all of us that wanna talk. But, I forgot this time with Hinata. But the thought of asking her is making me blush because then I'll be looking at those beautiful pale eyes of hers. So I just went into the boy's locker room and changed.
When I got out, I sat where everyone else was at and the teacher was wearing a tight green bodysuit. Then he turned around and I saw that he had bushy brows, like Lee, and he also had a bowl cut. Then I realized that it was Guy-sensei, the guy that we're going later to play basketball with him. "Hello there, my youthful class! I am the handsome Might Guy, and I will be your gym teacher this year!" I swear, this guy is even weirder than Lee. "We shall spend our first day together with a youthful game of 2v2 dodgeball! This will be our first unit."
Then Guy-sensei called out, "When I call your name, please stand up. You will get a partner." Oh great. I wonder who my partner will be. "... Naruto Uzumaki, please stand up." I stood up. "Your partner will be Hinata Hyuga." Oh crap. I felt nervous because I bet Hinata was a really good dodgeball player. I mean, I was decent myself, and I did take some boxing classes over the summer to improve my reaction time. But I didn't want to let her down. I went over to Hinata, whose face was really red. I tried to help her out by smiling and telling her, "Hey don't worry Hinata. You're an amazing person and together, we're gonna kick ass, y'know?" She blushed harder, but then smiled and replied, "Y-yeah N-naruto-kun. I g-guess w-we will."
For our first match, we faced off against Shikamaru and a girl named Fuu. Shikamaru was pretty lazy, so he never had the greatest gym grades. And this Fuu girl is a wild card. But then again, so is Hinata. As Hinata and I got ready, I called out, "Hey! Good luck, Shikamaru!"
"This is a real drag. Anyway, good luck to you too," he replied.
The whistle blew, and I grabbed a ball, as did the Fuu girl. She immediately threw the ball at me, and I blocked it with my ball, ensuring I maintained control. I tossed my ball to Hinata, then grabbed the ball that Fuu threw at me, then threw it at Shikamaru, who was daydreaming and didn't notice the ball until it smacked him in the midsection. Bullseye! I turned to see Hinata throw the ball hard at Fuu. She tried to catch the ball, but the sheer velocity of the ball was too much for her to handle, and she dropped it.
"And your winners for this match... the youthful duo of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga!"
We won. And Hinata looked badass.
"Wow Hinata! That was a really amazing! I guess I'm really lucky to have you as my partner." I blushed at the last part and saw her blushing too.
"Yeah, you both were great!"
I turned around and saw Fuu congratulating us and extending her hand. "That was a good game. I mean, Naruto, not many people are actually able to block my curveballs. And Hinata, that throw had some serious heat on it. You should be like a softball pitcher or something."
Wait, that ball had curve on it? I never even realized it. Maybe those boxing classes actually helped. Anyways, I shook her hand and Shikamaru's, since he was forced to come with Fuu. Then Hinata and I both took a seat next to each other to watch the rest of the games. I took the opportunity to ask for her number. She blushed, then smiled and gave it to me, so I could then add her to the group chat on Snap. After class ended, Guy-sensei told us that the next round of matches will be played next gym class and the matchups are on the board in the hallway. So after I changed back into school clothes, I found Hinata and then we walked together along with the rest of the gym class to said board and I looked at the board.
Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga vs Karin Uzumaki and Suigetsu Hozuki
