Chapter 7

I once met a guy named Seraphino.

It was a cloudy day and my mood didn't get any better. I sighed, depressed. It was like the weather was mirroring what I was feeling right now.

"Is this seat taken?"

I looked up and saw a guy with dishevelled hair and big glasses.

Shaking my head, I scootched over.

Although confused with the sudden interaction, I stayed quiet and continued looking from afar.

I knew who he is. He was the troublemaker in our school. His face doesn't show it but he was the most violent person here.

Nervous is an understatement. I'm terrified. But I don't want to leave because it might anger him.

"You know," I flinched when I heard his deep voice. I slowly looked at him. "You don't have to be so afraid of me."

I swallowed the lump in my throat. "I-i'm sorry."

He clicked his tongue. "I'm not a monster to be afraid of."

There was sadness in the tone of his voice that made me stare at him. His eyes looked so soft and honest. It was something I had never seen before.

"Chloe?" Pumasok si Kuya Harris sa'king kwarto.

Itinigil ko ang pagbabasa. I minimized the window from my laptop. "Yes, Kuya?"

"Wala ka bang pasok?" Umupo siya sa'king kama.

Iniikot ko ang swivel chair at humarap sa kanya. "Dalawa lang ang subject ko ngayon tapos nasa seminar 'yong mga professor ko."

"Nice! Tamang-tama, may photoshoot kami mamaya. Saturn will be there too. We'll be using a different studio tho. Wanna come?"

"Pwedeng pass muna?"

Napairap ako sa kawalan nang ngumisi siya sa'kin.

"Bakit tinanong mo pa ako kung wala rin naman akong choice?"

"Come on, balak kasi naming kumain sa labas. Justin and Steff will be there too. Hintayin mo na lang kami matapos."

Akala niya yata ay close kami ni Saturn. Hindi niya alam kulang na lang magsaksakan kaming dalawa dahil palagi kaming nag-aaway.

"Fine. Tawagan niyo ako kaagad kapag tapos na kayo."

Tumayo siya sa'king kama. Ngayon ko lang napansin na nakabihis na siya. "Saturn is waiting for you outside. I need to go."

Kumunot ang aking noo. "Huh? Hindi mo ako isasabay?"

"Nope. I'll be late."

E, 'di sana kanina mo pa sinabi sa'kin para nakapaghanda ako nang maaga!

I opened my mouth to voice out my protest but he quickly got out of my room while looking at his watch.

Napakamot ako sa aking ulo. Bumaba muna ako para tingnan si Saturn. Totoo nga ang sinabi ni Kuya. Naghihintay si Saturn sa'kin sa salas.

"Samahan daw kita sa photoshoot?"

Tumayo siya nang makita ako sa pag-aakalang nakabihis na ako ngunit napasimangot siya nang makitang nakasuot pa ako ng pajama.

"Yes so you better get ready. I'll be late." Muli siyang umupo sa couch. Pinagkrus niya ang mahahaba niyang legs. Wow, upong señorito.

"Bakit naman ako pa ang sasama sa'yo? Hindi mo ako PA."
