Through the Years

Chapter 9

Louis woke up with a pounding headache, he looked around and saw four white walls. He sat up and glanced around the room. He was in hospital, he lifted his hand to his head and touched it, wincing and the massive bump that was forming on his head.

"Hi El." Louis mumbled looking at his ex girlfriend sitting across from him.

"Jesus Christ Louis, you're an idiot did you know that? Ella called me this morning in tears saying she found you on the floor. She thought you were dead!"

"I just passed out, there's nothing to worry about Eleanor!"

"You're a complete mess Louis, sort yourself out, otherwise I'll take the children off you. Ella and Freddie are my children and I can easily gain custody of them both." Eleanor screamed.

"Please don't take them away from me they're all I have left." Louis cried.

"Then sort yourself out god damn it, that's all I ask." Eleanor screeched ,Walking off.

Ella comes running of to Louis and climbing onto the hospital bed.

"I'm sorry I contacted mummy, she was the first person I thought of. I just didn't know what to do."

"It's okay Ella you did a wonderful job, where's your brother?"

"He's gone to stay with grandma." Ella said.

"Since when did you become so big." Louis said smiling tickling Ella's small frame.

"I learnt from the best, I learnt from you daddy. I learnt how to be big and strong because of you. But daddy you need to wake up now."

"What do you mean wake up?"

"Just wake up daddy please!"

Louis ignored Ella's strange remark and continued with story squeezing her tightly.

Harry squeezed Louis hand and nodded to his best friend.

"Hi guys it's Louis and Harry here, we would like to tell you the truth from the very beginning." Louis said.

"Everything Zayn has said is true, now we know he hasn't officially outed us to the public but in a way he has. He has lead us to believe that everything we have done is wrong. We were all best friends once but I guess my love for Louis made the others upset. You see me and Louis are together. This may come as a shock to some of you, others it may not but we want you to respect our privacy right now." Harry said.

"Zayn found us together, kissing at the end  of the up all night tour and he made our life a living hell after that. He was threatening us to break up because it would ruin our image, we knew that but we hoped he'd support us. But he didn't. We didn't want to hurt him, but we just became extremely close and I guess we left him, Liam and Niall out. We did everything together and forgot to include them. It wasn't on purpose we just wanted to explore our relationship further and we forgot about our best friends." Louis said.

"We never meant to hurt anyone and for that we are sorry, we are sorry to our fans for having to witness the break up with Zayn, We are sorry for coming out to you like this. We are just sorry, I know this isn't anyone's fault but ours. We just want to apologise for our behaviour. In the next few weeks you won't hear anything from us, we are sorry to have to tell you this way but none of us are friends anymore. We have drifted apart so will be no longer One Direction. In a few weeks the four of us excluding Zayn will be releasing our fifth and final album. We are so sorry for everything, I'm sure Liam and Niall will release a video soon explaining this also." Harry said.

"But this isn't the end, we will all be dropping our solo careers in the next few months to a year. We are so sorry it had to come to this. We just want to thank our fans for an incredible five years. We owe it all to you. Thank you. Louis and Harry signing off."

Louis closed the computer and let out a massive sigh, he thought that was the worst thing he had ever had to but the worse was yet to come. Something that he would regret for the rest of his life and would cause the boys to never speak to him again.

But he didn't know that yet of course.

It was only just the beginning, and little did he know they his whole world would change and everything would come crashing down around him.

Louis pulled Harry into a hug and they just sat there for a moment, not saying anything. Just embracing each other's hug, caressing one another and feeling each other's touch.

Louis looked up and saw that Ella was no longer in his arms, he screamed out her name but no one came, so he closed his eyes tightly and hoped this was just a nightmare.

"Mr Tomlinson?" A voice said.

Louis rubbed his eyes and looked at a tall man with glasses staring down at him.

"It's time to take your medication." The doctor said.

"Where's Ella?" Louis questioned.

"Remember Louis. we've been through this many times before, Ella and Freddie don't exist. When you came to us you had just drank a whole bottle of rum and hit your head on the floor. You were hallucinating and we're clearly upset. You had gotten back with your girlfriend Eleanor but still weren't over Harry. She fell pregnant but had a miscarriage, she became pregnant a few years later and had another. The two children don't exist, you've made them up. To make yourself remember the past, to hold onto the little memories you have left of One Direction."

"What do you mean? I've just gotten here? I hit my head this morning, Ella found me. Eleanor was just here saying she was going to take the kids off me. It seemed so real."

"No louis you've been here for two years now. All of this is just in your head, Ella and Freddie don't exist, you're ill Louis and sometimes those hallucinations  seem so real that you can't tell the difference between them and reality but I can assure you there is no Ella and Freddie Tomlinson. Now take your medication." The doctor said handing Louis a pot full of tablets.
