18. the day after

BELLA

I wasn't gonna lie, I slept better than I had in a long time, which made me very excited to go to work this morning.

I quickly took a shower and wore some jeans and a basic white t-shirt. I grabbed my bag and shoes and quickly headed out the door.

As soon as I was about to get in the elevator, I heard moaning from Johnny's room. I immediately widened my eyes and pressed the elevator buttons as fast as I could, I seriously considered throwing up. Johnny and Mila having sex was something I never wanted to hear. I quickly got in the elevator and pressed the buttons furiously for the doors to close.

I arrived to set pretty early, but that made me have extra time for breakfast and to learn my lines. Unfortunately, I had tons of scenes with Johnny today, so it was really weird to act like nothing was happening. John, the director, gave Johnny a little break because apparently he was acting weird. So I stayed for a few more minutes filming other scenes.

It was now 2:40 p.m., which meant lunch break. I quickly got changed and started heading for the exit so I could go get some food. "Bella!" I turned around towards the voice that called me and saw Tom- standing next to Johnny, who looked like he was about to explode. 

Shit, I forgot we were gonna go out for lunch.

"Tom!" I started walking over to both of them and hugged Tom while he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. 

"You ready to go?" 

I looked at Johnny, who was practically drilling holes into my head with his stare.

"Yeah, sure." 

Johnny gave me a look, which I shrugged off, not knowing exactly what it meant, and not bothering to put up with his bullshit.

Johnny started walking after us while saying, "You have to be back by 3:30 Bella! We have to shoot." 

I turned back to him, "No, I have a break until 4:30. I got some filming done while you left." 

Johnny only scoffed and turned away, walking hurriedly back to set.

We walked over to a small restaurant nearby, and surprisingly Tom hadn't asked about Johnny. I knew he would at some point, but for now, I was enjoying talking about other stuff to help me get distracted.

We arrived and sat down in a table near the window and ordered some drinks and an appetizer.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but is Johnny your ex, or something?" His usual cheery and sarcastic mood had changed to a more serious one, which made me a bit nervous. He noticed and immediately said, "I'm sorry, you don't have to answer that-"

"No, no it's fine. Sorry, I'm just- it's complicated right now..." I cut him off, but trailed off, not really knowing if he was really interested in knowing about my problems. He held his eye-contact, and kind of waited for me to go on.

"He's not my ex, he's been my best friend ever since I arrived here, but we got into a fight last week, and we haven't really gotten past it." 

He gave me a sad smile and took my hand above the table. "I'm sorry to hear that." I shook my head and gave him a small smile. "That must be hard though, you're co-stars in this film."

I nodded and took a sip of my water, "It is, we haven't really spoken to each other." He nodded understandably. "But you got a chance to meet him, right? Just before I arrived."

"Yeah! He seemed like a cool dude. I know he's an amazing actor too, I love 21 Jump Street." I laughed and smiled at the thought. "We were talking for a bit, then I asked him where I could find you and he suddenly got all tense and defensive. That's why I thought you guys were something." 

I shook my head and laughed slightly. "No, we've never been more than best friends."

Tom quickly and thankfully changed the subject, I guess he noticed my mood change a bit. We had an amazing lunch and I had a great time. We could've stayed there for hours, but we both had to go back and film.

I happily walked back to set and saw Mila sucking Johnny's face right outside his trailer. I shot both of them a dirty look, which they obviously couldn't see because they both had their eyes closed. I went straight to my trailer and changed into my outfit for the scenes I would be shooting, frustrated that things still had to be icy between us.

Even though I hates admitting it, I missed my best friend.
