20. it's all better now

BELLA

I arrived on set today a bit later than Johnny did, so mostly everyone was waiting for me in John Water's office. "Sorry I'm late, there was a lot of traffic." John shook his hand and dismissed it.

"Don't worry dear! I called Johnny here to let you know what the plans for today were. It's gonna be a short day." I nodded, but still didn't look at Johnny.

"Okay, so, we'll be filming some scenes that we don't know if will actually make it into the film, but we still need them just in case." We both nodded and kept listening. "So Johnny will shoot first with his family members, and Bella you're not needed until we finish, in an hour or so. And then we'll shoot the kiss scene."

"The kiss scene?" We both shouted at the same time. I guess we had forgotten we had more than one kissing scene in the film.  John stepped in front of us both and tried to calm us down.

"Now, I know you guys aren't on your best terms right now, but so far, you've been doing a good job of not letting it show on-screen. So, just, be professionals." I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Here is the script for the scene, learn it, we'll be shooting in an hour or so." We each took the script and Johnny stormed off to hair and makeup. John took my hand before I left and said, "I know you can keep him under control, so I know you'll be able to do this."

I shook my head and went straight to my trailer, reading over the scene. The only good thing about this so far is that it's kind of like a fight and makeup kiss scene, so that means that we'll be able to scream our lines at each other, which can't be too hard, considering we actually were mad.

I spent time with other actors on set to not get too bored by myself. After a while, I went straight to Lisa so she could get me ready for the scene. She lightly curled my hair and did my signature makeup look. And she handed me a white sleeveless dress that ended just below my knees. She knew better than to ask me about Johnny, because she knew she was getting the same answer from me every day.

"Bella! You're up!" Someone called from outside.

I let out a shaky breath and made my way towards where Johnny was. The set was designed to make it look like Allison's bedroom, so I made my way over to John for him to tell us how things would go.

"Okay everyone listen up! Allison will be in her bed reading a book, and that's when Wade comes in through the window, and he starts accusing her of choosing Baldwin over him. Then you guys do what the script says, and the scene ends with the kiss okay? Johnny, you start the kiss, by the way."

Johnny nodded and started heading over to the other side of the set, to make it seem like he would actually climb from outside. I went over to the bed and grabbed the book that was already laying there for me to grab. "You guys ready?" I nodded to John and Johnny gave him a thumbs up. "Action!"

(a/n: this isn't an actual scene from the movie, I just made it up to fit the storyline.)

I started flipping through the page, pretending to read slowly. Then the window opened, and Johnny jumped through it and rubbed his knuckles as he looked around, until he spotted me. I immediately stood up and closed my bedroom door.

"Cry-baby, what are you doing here? My grandma could kill you if she saw you!" 

He stood up straighter. "She won't see me Allison, plus, you and I need to have a little talk."

I made sure confusion was written all over my face and said, "What about?"

He gave me a stern look and walked over to me, which made me step back until I hit the wall behind me.
