BELLA
Right before we entered the cinema, Johnny called Jacob so he could come pick us up. We wouldn't be needed there anymore. It was already starting to get dark, which meant no one could notice if we left.
We took the back exit and Jacob opened the door for us so we could get into the limo quickly. "Where to Johnny?" Jacob spoke through the intercom. He looked at me and when I just shrugged, he told Jacob to go to the park, where we always went, which made me smile excitedly.
Johnny kept his hand on my thigh, and we were talking about how nice the interviewer was, and how he actually enjoyed himself. He took two ciggies out and we smoked as we sang out to Rolling Stones, a favorite of ours.
We felt the car stop, which meant we had arrived. "Could you stay here and wait for us Jacob? We'll be right here."
"Sure thing boss."
Johnny smiled excitedly and took my hand as we left the car, and we first went to the ice-cream parlor just across the street and both got vanilla ice-cream cones.
We both started running down the hill so we could go to our favorite spot, just in front of the little lake. "Whatever you do, just don't fall into the lake again." Johnny said as he laid down on the grass.
"Ha-ha. Very funny." I said laughing as I remembered the incident a few weeks ago.
"It was extremely funny. Until you pulled me in with you." He shuddered at the thought which made me giggle and lay down next to him, licking my ice-cream.
It was night by now, we both were laying on the ground without a care in the world, our hands intertwined. "The stars look amazing tonight. I wanna stay here forever." I mumbled softly.
"So do I."
Then Johnny sat up, and looked down at me sweetly but with a hint of nervousness in his eyes. I could tell something was bothering him. I sat up too and furrowed my brow. "What? What is it?"
He looked down for a minute, but then shook his head and stood up, straightening his hand for me to come up with him. I licked my ice cream again, now nervous on what he could tell me.
We started walking along the coast of the little lake, but not close enough so we didn't accidentally fall. "I-"
He started saying something, but then dropped his gaze again, which made me stop in my tracks and stand in front of him, looking dead into his eyes. "Johnny what is it?" I was nervous as hell now. If he was breaking up with me- god no. I can't think like this.
"I just can't imagine my life without you. I literally can't. I know I would be lost and-" he started, but I interrupted him.
"Johnny that's not true-"
"Honey, let me finish."
I nodded and waited for whatever it is he would say.
"I would be lost. And just looking back at the times that we've fought or shit like that, it just reminds me of how depressed and sad I would be without you. And I just- I can't afford to lose you."
My heart softened at his words and I shook my head. "Johnny you won't lose me. If anything I'm the one who should be scared. I thought you were breaking up with me or something- you're not, right?"
Johnny widened his eyes and shook his head quickly. "What? No, Why would you think that?"
"I don't know. You're acting all serious now and I'm just-" I saw him kneel down on one knee and I immediately stopped what I was saying. Holy fuck.
He gulped nervously and then spoke up, "Isabella Honey Jones, you've been my best friend for way too many years, and you've made me the happiest I could ever be. Ever." My eyes started tearing up at this point, his hand tightly holding mine.
"Even though we started dating a few months ago, I've known you for 5 years, and that counts just as much. I know that I don't ever want to lose you, and-"
He stopped talking and reached into his suit, and took out a small black velvet box, and he opened it to reveal the most gorgeous diamond ring, which made me gasp out and let my tears fall. Out of shock I dropped my ice-cream too, but I didn't give a shit about that now.
"I love you more than anything- more than I could ever love myself, Izzy. I want you to be mine. And I want to be yours, forever. So would you please make me the happiest man to ever walk this earth and marry me?"
I was smiling uncontrollably now. I could barely get any words out, so I just nodded excitedly. I immediately kneeled down to get on his level and hugged him tightly, making us both fall backwards into the soft grass.
We both laughed but he still held on to me, while I kept repeating 'yes yes yes'. He smiled excitedly and we both sat down so he could put the ring on my finger. It fit perfectly. It was beautiful. The diamond was just the perfect size and shape, an emerald cut diamond with a hidden halo.
I looked up at him and saw his eyes watering too, which made me want to start crying again.
"Johnny I-" He cut me off with a kiss to my lips, which I gladly accepted, letting his tongue graze over mine in the most perfect way. I never wanted to stop kissing him.
This was way too perfect. I was laying on the ground, with Johnny hovering on top of me and caressing my sides softly.
I pulled away slightly, both of us panting and smiling wildly. "I love you, Johnny." His eyes sparkled in the night, and he lightly pecked my lips again.
"I don't know what I ever did to deserve you. This is all-" I looked around, then at my ring finger, then back at Johnny. "This is just perfect." I said happily. He chuckled lightly and pulled me up with him, so we were both sitting now. "You're really not understanding how my heart is exploding right now."
He laughed and shook his head. "I'm so glad you said yes. I was nervous." He said, looking down.
I scoffed and laughed. "Of course I wouldn't say no! I could never Johnny. It's what I've always wanted. Even though I had no idea you would tell me today."
"I've had the ring for a few weeks now, and I've been carrying it with me, but I felt like this was the right moment. I couldn't wait any longer." Johnny said, smirking a bit as he wrapped his hand around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
"Well mission accomplished."
He kissed me lightly again, making me sigh contentedly and lean my head against his shoulder.
"And here I was, thinking you'd breakup with me." I mumbled, looking down at the rings that always dressed his fingers.
He laughed lightly and shook his head. "I could never, ever do that. If we break up, then it's gonna be because you broke up with me, not the other way around."
I smiled and kissed his cheek lightly. "Then we're in for the long run baby. I'm never breaking up with you. You make me the happiest." I responded, smiling at him softly.
He broke off into a huge smile and pulled me even closer, "I know I've told you before, but you really are my forever. I know it."
I looked up at him and kissed his lips lightly, both of us not able to contain our smiles.
"Forever and always, Johnny."
"Forever and always." He responded, making me lay back and feel secure around his protective arms, sighing relaxedly as I felt his chest rise up and down.
