George was shocked.

"Young NotFound, do you think you can handle this mission?"

George was silent for a second, still trying to get his thoughts in order.

"George?" Obi-Wan said, looking concerned.

George wanted to say yes to the Council, do whatever he could to make them proud. But at the same time, he couldn't kill him. Clay was his best friend. Before he turned to the Dark Side, they did everything together. They even trusted each other with their lives.

"I'll do it," George said.

Although it didn't make much sense, George knew he had to take the mission. What if there's still light on him? George thought. I can't get my hopes up. Unless...

George made his way back towards his apartment. He honestly wanted to be alone for a little while. The Council has told him that he would be leaving on his mission the following morning.

"George?" Someone called, snapping George from his thoughts. He looked up to see Sapnap walking down the hallway toward him.

"Oh hey Sap," George said with a halfhearted smile.

Sapnap knew George well enough to know that he wasn't feeling it. "What's wrong, George?"

George sighed. "You might as well walk to my room with me. It's a fairly complicated situation."

"I'm done with training for today, so I may as well," he said, falling into step with George.

Once they were in George's room, George flopped onto his bed, staring at the ceiling above him.

"So," Sapnap said. "This 'long story'?"

George, still staring at the ceiling, began to tell Sapnap everything about his situation. George couldn't see it, since he was staring at the ceiling, but his friend's eyes were wide in shock.

Sapnap had been 14 when Clay became Dream. George and Clay has been 16 at the time, so it has been 3 years.

"You can do it," Sapnap said after a minute of unsettling silence.

"What?" George asked, sitting up to face his friend.

"You can do it, bring him back to the light. I know you can."

George felt slightly reassured by this, but he was still nervous.

"Just don't let him kill ya first," Sapnap said with a giggle.

George rolled his eyes. "Only you would mention that when I'm already stressed out."

Sapnap giggled again. "You know what's good for stress? Food. And I'm hungry, so let's go get some Lunch."

The two made their way to the cafeteria wing of the Temple and each got a meal.

"Can we go eat in the gardens instead of in here with everyone else?" George asked.

Sapnap nodded and they made their way out of the temple to one of several expansive gardens.

The garden was a calming area, filled with an assortment of flowers and plants from different planets across the galaxy. Concrete walkways wound through the garden, creating a complex pattern of paths. There were more secluded areas off to the sides that were often used for meditation. George led Sapnap to one of these areas to enjoy their meal.

"It's nice to get out of the crowded cafeteria," Sapnap said after eating a bite of his fruit.

George nodded and proceeded to eat.

Once they were done, George gathered up the plates and began to walk out. Sapnap, however stayed in his spot.

"You coming?" George asked.

Sapnap shook his head. "I think I'm gonna stay behind, maybe meditate for a bit. I need to work on it if I want to pass my trials any time soon."

George nodded back and walked to the cafeteria. He dropped off his and Sapnap's plates before heading back to his room.

George wasn't used to having this much free time. When he was a Padawan, he would spend almost all day training with Obi-Wan. Now, as a Knight, he was supposed to go on missions and his didn't start until tomorrow.

George hopped in the shower, thinking that he would feel better if he was cleaned up. He took his time in the shower, savoring every drop of hot water that hit his skin.

After about 30 minutes, he hopped out of the shower into his small bathroom. He wrapped himself up in a towel before walking back into his room.

When he opened the door that connected his bedroom and bathroom, George felt his lunch become unsettled in his stomach. Maybe I'm seeing things, he thought.

"Hello, George."
