Lewis x Reader
"Vivi? Why're we at the mansion?" Staring out the window of the moving van, (Y/N) noticed that Vivi was slowing to a stop in front of the beautiful black and purple mansion that they, Vivi and Arthur had recently investigated. "I want to look around again, and I knew that Arthur would be too scared to go with me." (Y/N) raised an eyebrow, "and what're you planning on finding in there?" It appeared that the question caught Vivi off guard, because she spluttered her next response. (Y/N) smiled and shook their head, "oh well, let's go in and see what you need to so desperately find." Both Vivi and (Y/N) exited the van, then Vivi grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, running to the entrance with them trailing behind her. (Y/N) opened the door to the old, but aesthetically pleasing mansion, letting Vivi in first before following after her. (Y/N) looked around as Vivi adventured her own way, leaving them to explore on their own. Turning on their phone flashlight, they went into the basement, slow stepping down the spiral staircase until reaching the pitch. Hopping onto the ground, (Y/N) brushed dust off their hands and pants as they panned the flashlight around. "Shit it's dusty down here.." they murmured, coughing into their arm as they started walking. They couldn't notice the being floating up behind them, no footsteps means no awareness to their ears. When they felt the cold touch on their shoulder though, they yelped and turned to face whoever touched them, their eyes widening at the sight. "Wh-who?!" They brandished their flashlight like they were in Luigi's Mansion, ready to flash this ghoul and destroy the sucker with the power of an old vacuum, if they had one. The poltergeist sighed at (Y/N)'s jumpy reaction, then simply floated over to them. He pulled them into a hug, holding them close as every thought ran through (Y/N)'s head. "What...?" They mumbled as they relaxed in his hold, honestly ready to become one with this bastard if it meant getting these comforting hugs every day of the year. "You hug just like Lewis.." they murmured as tears rolled down their face, only to feel something metallic bump into their cheek. Taking the soul anchor into their hands, they were delicate with it as they looked up at the poltergeist for permission, "is it ok...?" Once getting a singular nod out of him, (Y/N) opened the anchor, feeling themselves burst into tears at the picture inside. It was them with Lewis, Vivi and Arthur. "So.. So you're really him huh?" Looking back at the poltergeist, now Lewis, he nodded, causing a small smile to break onto their cheeks. "I missed you... we all have. Especially Arthur, ya know?" They grew worried when Lewis's facial expression switched, then thought about the cave where he died. "You need to let go of this grudge on Arthur Lewis... and before you saying anything, I need you to fucking listen to me, one on one, person to ghost who I know has ears." Lewis quieted down, listening as he held (Y/N)'s hand. "What happened in that cave wasn't his fault. Tell me, what do you remember of his face as he pushed you?" Lewis's grip grew tighter but (Y/N) wouldn't say a word, only watching his facial expressions until he spoke once more, "he seemed to be actually two faced.. one side was grinning and the other side was crying." (Y/N) nodded then looked him dead in the eye, "remember when he said: do you guys hear something? That was because he was hearing voices.. before he got possessed. The demon took control of one side of his body, and used it to push you off the cliff. So I'm going back to that cave.. to cleanse it fully, so nothing like that ever happens again. And what I need you to do is look Arthur dead in the eye and apologize to him when you get the chance... Ok?" Lewis nodded before pulling (Y/N) back into his arms, holding them close as they slumped against him. Lifting their head, (Y/N) tapped Lewis's head then tapped their own head, smiling when the two bumped heads. Vivi smiled as she watched the duo from afar, going to ask (Y/N) who the poltergeist was later.
