I left Bright even he looks devastated. I'm shy to stay inside of their house, and I'm shy to ask him and to console him. I know what he's thinking. I'm not numb to not to feel it.
I want to apologize to him, but he's not in the mood to listen to me. Again.
I went out of their house and I can feel my tears will fall any seconds now. I wipe my eyes and lift my head
"What the fuck Win don't be too dramatic" I uttered to myself and gasp some air.
When he looked at me, I want to hug him and stay by his side but I can't. Things weren't the same. He's not the Bright I used to bond before.
His lips are still red. His skin is still fair, his eyebrows are still perfectly crafted. Yes, He is Bright.
But he's not the Bright I used to love before.
"Sorry. Oh my gosh" A woman said as she bumped me and I fell into the ground.
I looked at her and it was Bright's mom. Holding a basket of fruits and vegetables.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry I was really in a hurry and I didn't even notice you" She said.
I gave her a smile "Don't worry, I'm okay."
"If there's any chance, are you the one who live in the house nearby?" She asked and points her finger at me.
I laughed weakly and gave her a nod.
"You know my son, right?"
"I do. We used to be friends before." I said.
"Before? How about now? Are you still close?" Her voice was full of curiosity.
"I should get going, Auntie. I have to go, " I said and gave her a smile and ran towards my place. I can't answer her question.

"Oh, you're here! Where have you been?" My mom said and I got startled by her."What are you doing here?" I asked her and put the ice to the pitcher.
"Am I not allowed to visit you here? I just miss you" My mom said while pouting.
"Pattaya was too far from Bangkok mom, You should've given me a call. I'm just worried about you, " I said and went closer to her
She puts her hands on my cheeks
"How are you?" She suddenly asked.
"I'm doing good" I reached for his hands and puts them down "How's Bangkok?"
"Can we have a walk? I badly miss this place" She said.
"Let's go, " I said and held her left hand
My mom and I walked into the village and she talked too much. About her childhood, How she met Dad, How she was getting scolded by my Grand Parents.
"See that acacia tree?" She pointed her finger into the tree in the middle of the farm
We spent the summer sitting under the shade of a tree. With me and Bright.
"I do." I said shortly.
"That's the place your dad confessed her feelings to me"
"Mom, don't be too cheesy" I smiled at her and she weakly punched me.
"The rice fields are still the same" She said to herself and her voice becomes weak.
"Why? Is there any problem?" I asked her and she just shakes her head "Nothing"
"Are you doing, fine here?" She asked me back
I smiled at her "I guess. Thank you to the oozing vibe of the grass and trees here. I somehow forgot my problems I am dealing with"
"Good to hear. I hope you'll recover fast so you can go back to Bangkok" She said that made me stop from walking
My mom squirmed with a smile in her face "Honey, Let's go. I want to watch the sunset in the river nearby" She said and continue walking.
Wounds aren't the one that is painful. A wound will eventually turn into a scar. A mark that tells people how they get hurt and it reminds them on how they overcome the pain they feel. Scars from my heart is still there. As time pass by, I thought I learned how to endure pain, but I went back in here, and I saw Bright, The scar from my heart oddly becomes a fresh wound.
"Honey are you coming?" My mom shouted
"Uh, wait for me, " I answered and ran and reached my mom. She holds my hand and swing it as if we are best friends roaming around the riverside, with the orange color of the sky and the sound of the water roaring from the river.
"This is so beautiful" My mom said while capturing the prospect view of the river.
"Uhm, it is. Pattaya will always be beautiful, " I said to her and she gave me a smile.
"Let's walk more" My mom requested
"It's not obvious that you miss this place, isn't it?" I replied "Okay. Before the place will get dark"
The birds are flying and formed a v shape in the sky that is really amazing. You can hear the sound of the crickets and fireflies are starting to shine
My mom continuously walking until she stopped
"Uh, are you---"
"Mom, what's the problem" I asked my mom as I am capturing the fireflies I use the panorama and when I started to rotate my phone, I captured a man sitting and looking into his reflection from the river.
Bright
"Are you the guy who lives nearby?" My mom asked him that made Bright standing. He pats his pants that are full of dust
"Uhm, I am. It's been a while since I saw you, Mrs. Opas-Iamkajorn" Bright said and bows in front of my mom
I just stared at him and he smiled at me
"Win, can you give me a minute?" He said to me. My mom looked at me
"Mom, you can go home first, " I said to her and she gave me a nod as a response.
"O-okay." My mom shortly replied and left us.
Bright and I were both standing distant to each other. I don't know what he will gonna do. I just have to listen to him.
"How are you?" Bright suddenly asked
"I'm okay. Hey, do you have time to listen?" I immediately asked him.
He gave me a nod and smiled at me. My heart pounds so fast
"Bright, I am sorry. I know you are mad at me since the day I left you." I shouted to him "I understand if you will not forgive, but I just want to say--" I didn't finish what I'm saying when he suddenly grabbed my wrist towards him and he hugged me.
"I miss you" He whispered into my ears.
His hugs. It doesn't change at all. It's still warm, it's still comfortable, it's still home.
The place becomes dark and the moon is in a full moon and the fireflies were flying freely.
I realized that the scars will still remain, but somehow, it doesn't only reminds us of how life being unfair, scars also remind us of, no matter how painful life is, there will be someone who will ready to heal you and when you lose yourself, they are ready to fix you.
