As we walked together, holding hands, talking about our life, I just stared at Bright every time he is talking.
"Good night, see you tomorrow" I uttered as I waved my hand
"Uh, see you tomorrow" Bright said and he shyly waved his hand. I closed the door and leaned my back into the door
I want to shout because of the happiness I feel. I slowly walked into my room trying not to make any sound because it's 11:30 in the evening and my mom probably asleep. I slowly stepped into our wooden stairs, but the light automatically turned on.
"Mr. Opas-iamkajorn, I think we need to talk" My mom said arm crossed
"Mom, you startled me!" I shouted and walked heavily downstairs again as my mom made her way into the kitchen and sat in the chair and rest her hands into the dining table
"I know, I went home late. It will never happen again, I promise, " I said not looking into her eyes
"Did I miss anything?" She asked, and grabbed for a cup of water
"Anything what?" I asked
"With you and that the guy" She exclaimed and stood up and reached for me
"M-mom, I don't have an idea what you are talking"
I don't know if she will be mad if ever he found out what's going on between Bright and I
"I sent you here for you to be okay" My mom said seriously
"I told you, I didn't do anything" I replied almost shouting
"You're a bad liar, Win. Just spill it out" My mom said
I was hesitating to answer her question, but she's my mom anyway and she will support me and my decisions
"Uh, " I answered
"What, uh?" She said in frustration
"We loved each other, BEFORE" I emphasized the word before
"I knew it!" She jumped out of excitement
"Aren't you going to scold me?" I asked her and fill the glass of water
"The day when we left Pattaya, I saw a guy trying to catch us" My mom said playing with her fingers
"Uh, I broke up with him that day because we had to visit Dad and stay in Bangkok for good" I replied
My mom went to the living room, I followed her and we sat on the sofa, I grabbed the square pillow and hugged it
"So, what happened earlier" My mom asked with her voice that obviously teasing me
I smiled at her as I remember what happened earlier. My mom moved closer to me
"Come on, spill it!" She begged and slapping my arm weakly
"Nothing, we just fixed the issue between us," I replied
"Oh? Is there an issue between you two?" My mom followed a question once more
"Oho, mom! I'm sleepy" I exclaimed at her
"Come on, that's a last question! Answer it!" She said and waiting for my answer
I just looked at her full of irritation and stood up from the sofa and went upstairs
"Yah, Win Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn!!! I'm asking you! Yah!!!!" She shouted and tried to follow me, but I managed to close the door, fast.
