«Oh, Merlin. How are you?»
Albus immediately sat up as soon as he saw Scorpius running towards the bed where he had been for half an hour, sprinting faster than he had ever seen him doing.
«Scorp, slow down. I'm alive, unfortunately» the brunette smirked but he was sure that the grin on his face made him look constipated for how weak he felt «Hey, it's okay, I'm here» he pointed at the sheets at the end of the bed to gave him a sign to sit down.
«Your dad sent me an elf to tell me he had found you throwing up in his office» he's cute even when he's worried like this, Albus thought, I want to kiss him until my lips fall off «What happened, Al? Merlin» he paused and then whispered «Has it something to do with the memory? Have you found it? Any chance? Evidence?»
Their eyes locked and Albus felt like puking again. How was he supposed to tell him? How could he tell him the truth? He couldn't.
So he didn't.
"I can tell the way you looked at me was different. Because you looked at me, the way I looked at you. And I looked at you as if the whole constellation had put itself within your eyes".
«No, I haven't found anything» he muttered, lowering his head. He didn't feel like lying while looking at him right in the eyes. His beautiful grey eyes. Albus loved them. They reminded them of snow, dirty snow. Because the snow was white, flawless and he loved it, but Scorpius wasn't perfect and Albus loved him even more. «I'm so sorry, Scorp if you want we can try again another time-»
«No, no, don't worry» the taller got closer to him and placed his hands on the shorter's cheeks, leaning his head «While I was waiting for you, I had an idea».
Fuck, look at how easily I'm lying to you. Will be this easy for you to kill me?
«Oh, tell me» Albus murmured, his voice was low, shaky. He was still staring at the white sheets under him, not able look at the blond in the eyes: it would have made his heart shatter.
«You know, there must be other people like us» Scorpius spoke and his voice sounded so full of hope that it made Albus wanting to vomit «Other non-soulmates' children with magic powers. Not at Hogwarts or maybe not even in the whole of London, but there must be some in entire England».
«Yes, and when will we find the time to go and look for them?» the green-eyed bit, feeling hopeless.
He just wanted to sleep. Forever. Maybe while cuddling Scorpius. He didn't want to search for anyone. He was so damn tired.
«Oh, someone seems upset. Is it because you're afraid I'm going to kiss you and your breath still stinks of vomit? It can't be worse than your morning breath» Scorpius giggled and Albus hit him with a soft punch on the chest.
«No. Go on, tell me» he tried to calm down and he saw the young Malfoy looking down at his lips. He replied to his question after what seemed ages to Albus, himself too focused on the other's scent and on how his mouth was slightly opened.
«I thought that we could skip next year and go search for them» he mumbled.
«What? You? Skipping an entire year of school?» Albus suddenly raised his head, stunned, meeting the blond's eyes «Merlin, my father was wrong! I'm the one who had a bad influence on you in the end!»
Scorpius blushed, slapping him on the arm and kneeled closer, making Albus lay on his back on the bed. Then he got closer and lied on top of him.
«I'm serious. We could».
Albus arms instantly went around the grey-eyed's waist, holding onto him as if he was his lifeline, «I know. My father, aunt Hermione and uncle Ron also did»
