«I can't believe he did that!» Albus was in a rage, «I can't believe he didn't let you sit next to me!»
«We were talking...»
Harry Potter had divided them just at the beginning of his first DADA lesson and the raven-haired hadn't shut up since when his father had forced his friend to sit across the classroom.
«Calm down, Al» Scorpius murmured again. They were walking to the Great Hall for supper and many heads had turned to them in the corridors, due to the shorter's yells «It's not a big deal-»
«Yes, it is!» he literally shouted, his steps accelerating, «I thought he had passed that stage! Thinking that you have a bad influence on me!»
Scorpius' legs were aching «He has, Al, trust me. Maybe he's just worried-»
«About what, then?!» he screamed. They had reached the Ground Floor and they were just in front of the massive entrance «I should've known that he would have tried to keep us apart if he had ever come to teach here»
For a moment, neither of them cared that there were students and professors, entering the Great Hall, staring or listening to them: it was as if everyone had disappeared, leaving them in their little bubble.
But a bubble is fragile and it can be destroyed at any time.
Scorpius knew that.
"Do you remember? You felt safe with me and I felt safe with you. Everyone disappeared. It was our little and tiny bubble„
«I don't know, Al. Maybe it was just because he didn't want to do favoritisms and we were taking while he was speaking-»
«Scorpius-» the green-eyed boy interrupted him, looking away, shaking his head, irritated.
Everyone was there again. Looking at them.
«No, listen to me, Al» the taller placed his hands on the other's shoulders, forcing him to look into his eyes, making them connecting, «I don't know what happened today nor I care,» Albus snorted so he continued «Because probably it isn't even important and your father just wanted to prove he's a good teacher»
He leaned closer to him and whispered «But you must calm down, now, because everyone is staring at us,»
Then there was that eye-contact again and the green-eyed felt like he couldn't carry on with judging and curious stares: «I feel like I'm going to explode, Scorp»
The above-mentioned said the only thing he could have thought «We skip dinner. Let's go to the forest»
-
«Honestly, I've always found your name quite rare» Albus laughed, feeling carefree for the first time since they've come back to Hogwarts.
They were laying on their backs, next to each other, in the green grass of the Forbidden Forest, their shoulders touching.
"Do you remember our special spot in the Forest? Do you remember how safe we felt there, just the two of us, with no one else?"
«Mine? Yours is literally Albus Severus Potter! It's such a horrible name to give a child» the blue-eyed hit the shorter's arm delicately and chuckled.
It was past ten in the evening, they had skipped supper like they said they would've and they had spent almost three hours talking about everything it came up in their minds, rambling and joking and laughing.
«Yeah, that's another reason to hate my dad»
But Albus wasn't thinking about his father, not anymore.
All he could see, focus on, was Scorpius's proximity to him, the fact that their skins would touch if it wasn't for those pieces of clothing.
«I had never told you why my father gave me this name, haven't I?»
Albus shook his head in response. So the blond decided to get closer to him, lifting his body to lay on his right side, glancing at him to then look at the sky above them.
He raised his left arm «We're in the middle of November, so now it's visible to the human eye. I'm named after the Scorpion constellation, it should be-» at last, he found the combination of the shining stars and pointed at them to the raven-haired, who was urging himself not to look at the blond but at the stars.
But he was too beautiful not to. He knew he wouldn't have resisted for much more.
«It's a tradition, in the Black family, name the sons and daughters after a constellation. Apart from my grandmother, Narcissa, after a flower-» he sighed «Bellatrix, Andromeda and my dad, Draco after Dragon-»
«That's so beautiful» Albus interrupted him. He found it fascinating. It really was, for him:
listening to Scorpius' voice and letting it relax, reach his heart."Do you remember when I told you the story behind my name? We were in the Forbidden Forest, laying there, near the lake and it was past midnight. You told me "You're my dragon" and you laughed. I would do anything to hear you laugh again"
But then their eyes met and Scorpius felt his heart skipping a beat. Or maybe ten.
«May I kiss you?»
As soon as he nodded, their lips immediately connected like they had three weeks before.
But this time it was clearly different.
There was passion, there was a flame in both of their chests. There was love. And it inevitably happened: the taller's lips parted a little and their tongues touched. However, since neither of them really knew or understood what they were doing, it was messy, sloppy, not very coordinated.
«Albus...»
But they liked it. A lot. So they continued until they were both out of breath and they couldn't feel their lips or lungs anymore.
"Kissing you, being held in your arms once more, would be the only thing that would make me feel alive again„
Then, when they finally opened eyes, they found their heads, their mouths just some centimetres apart. Scorpius noticed how Albus' pupils were dilated, his irises greener than they had ever been.
Probably it was the same for him.
"That's the problem. I shouldn't have let you be my solution, my dream, my cure. I shouldn't have let you be the reason for my happiness. It was my biggest mistake and now it's my biggest regret"
But then they looked around and they saw it: the chaos they've created.
Because all the leaves had left the trees, falling into the grass, and some were still floating into the air. The water in the lake had almost reached their feet. However, it was like as if something, a bubble, had protected them, not letting the water ruin their moment. Now destroyed.
Nonetheless, it didn't matter if they were alive, not to Scorpius anyway: there had been an...explosion, while they were just kissing for two minutes and they hadn't even noticed it.
It was impossible. How couldn't they?
«Scorpius...» the dark-haired murmured and when their eyes locked once more, realisation suddenly hit him. In the chest, in the stomach, in the middle of his heart.
They had created that chaos. By a simple kiss.
«What's happening, Scorp? What have we done?» Albus repeated his name, whispering. Their faces were still very close. Too close.
One whole minute passed before Scorpius could speak again, «Do you see what we can cause, Al? We're dangerous. We're in danger».
