Iwaizumi Hajime- Surprise

"So mean, Iwa-chan!" Oikawa whined after his best friend gave another insulting remark. Iwaizumi just got a surprise from the volleyball club that morning, and is now walking towards the cafeteria. Just as he entered, he saw your familiar silhouette in his peripheral vision. Sighing, he continued to find a seat.

The both of you completely remember the fight that was brought between the both of you last week. You decided to ignore him and so did he. None of you would approach the other to apologize, making the gap between your relationship even wider.

But you didn't want to let that silly arguement stop you from celebrating his birthday with him. Just as your classes ended, you immediately packed up and excused yourself from your club because of an 'emergency'. You quickly walked to his house and told his mother about your plan.

Throughout the whole afternoon, you helped his mom decorate the living room while he practiced volleyball with a slightly heavy heart. He thought that he won't be able to celebrate his birthday with you anymore, which made him really anxious.

As he was walking towards his house, he noticed that the house's lights were off. Thinking that his mother went out for a while, he immediately entered the house. Once he opened the lights, a quick sound of party poppers echoed through the living room, making him notice your presence in his house.

"Happy birthday, Hajime!" You and his mom greeted in unison. Setting aside the party popper that you just used, you quickly ran towards him with open arms and hugged him tight. Suprised, he snapped out of it and hugged you back.

"You really know how to amuse me, (F/N). I thought you were gonna ignore me forever," he stated after letting go of you for a while.

"Ha! You thought," you quickly teased, making him and his mom laugh at your witty expression.

You stayed even after dinner, continuing the celebration in his room by cuddling a lot and watching movies. As the both of you were nearly dozing off because it was pretty late, you decided to talk him out for a while.

"What did you think of my surprise? Was it too plain?" You asked.

"Of course not, baby. I was really shocked by your surprise because of what happened last week. Even so, you made me really happy today. This is probably one of my unforgettable birthday surprises." He answered, making you smile widely.

"I'm really sorry for raising my voice that day," he added an apology.

"It's fine. I'm also sorry for walking away without trying to fix it immediately." You replied and hugged him tighter. He gently placed his hands on your cheeks and caressed it. After a while, he held you chin and carefully pulled you towards him as you kissed.
