Your feelings for Bokuto has been hidden for almost 3 years, and the same goes for him too. Without knowing, you loved each other, but something kept you away from each other.

You flipped the page and slipped away

Everything went to waste when both of you had to graduate. After your graduation, you didn't hear a single thing about Bokuto. He never called you or texted you again, and nobody dared to tell you what he's doing in his life now.

Never thought that you were

Because you already grew distant to each other, you realized your feelings have faded away with the wind. Once, you reunited with Akaashi, and since he kind of knew what was going on between you and Bokuto, he tried to use this opportunity to let Bokuto know about your feelings.

He called Bokuto as you and Akaashi talked in the ramen shop you visited.

"Hello? Akaashi?" Bokuto called out to his friend by the phone, only to receive background noises, until Akaashi had finally spoken out to you.

"By the way, (L/N)-san, you probably still like Bokuto-san right?" Akaashi asked you. When Bokuto heard that, he felt his cheeks burn at the thought that he still has a chance with you even after all this years.

"What? Where did you get that news?" You asked instead of answering, feeling a little cold-hearted after years of being ignored by Bokuto.

"I just noticed it since I came to the team. I think he likes you back, actually."

"What? That's impossible, Akaashi. And for your information, I never really liked him romantically. I was just really friendly to him and he's my close friend. It's not a big deal, really." You explained, making Akaashi nervous.

You just broke Bokuto's heart.

On the other side of the line, Bokuto felt so down and tears flowed in his cheeks. He ended the call, making his teammates confused and worried about his sudden actions.

You didn't even call to wish me sweet dreams
Really thought we made a sweet team

Consider this a lullaby

Looking at your phone that night, you had the urge to look at your old conversations with Bokuto. You two were already sweet before as if you were dating, but then he just went on like you didn't matter to each other.

That's what made you angry, and all your frustrations were brought to sobbing the whole night.

He didn't even say good bye before he left.
