They say there is a war
Between the man and the woman

Once upon a time, a war broke out between the men and women. They were separated for years, making the chain of soulmates to crumble. A prophecy had been given that one woman and one man will one day reunite the broken bond, yet because of the war, they swore that they will not let it happen, thus creating a wall between them.

I've never felt like this before
My heart knew that I couldn't

You grew up being taught that men are evil, and that you must kill one when you see them. You were trained as a great warrior, and you immediately excelled.

But while you were growing up, you couldn't help but become curious to why that is. You were kind-hearted yet adventurous, so you escaped the sea for a while and transformed into a human-being, which you were blessed with the ability to do so.

You wondered the woods underneath the wall, and you accidentally saw a man.

And then you take me in
And everything in me begins to feel like I belong
Like everybody needs a home

You hid on a wide tree trunk nearby, only to hear him playing a little harp. The sunlight illuminated above him, making him look angelic, especially with his silver locks and precious face.

Without a warning, you were given a feeling that you had never felt before.

Because of this, you accidentally stepped on a twig, creating a sound. The man became alert and pulled his knife out.

"W-Who's there?!"

You slowly stepped out of your hiding spot while raising your hands.

"I mean no harm," you replied, showing your form to the angelic human. He stared at you in shock.

"A-A woman? With... legs?!" He raised his knife towards you, and you shushed him.

"Shut up! We'll both be in trouble!" You whisper-shouted. Being a little at ease, he lowered his guard and his weapon.

"I'm Koushi, from the Sugawara Tribe." He introduced and bowed, making you smile.

"And I'm (F/N), from the (L/N)'s. Pleasure to meet the son of the King." You bowed at him too.

"What brings you here, Princess (F/N)? Shouldn't you be in your duties as the Princess?" He asked before taking his harp back again and sitting on a log.

"I wanted some fresh air, and I stumbled upon your music. It's beautiful. I'd love to hear some more." You sat next to him, and he started playing his harp again. Without a doubt, you sang along, making up lyrics along the way.
