Chapter Thirty Two
When I woke up that morning, I rolled over to see Envy’s body missing from our bed. We had slept together for the first time, though we didn’t engage in any adult activities. Looking over at the other bed I see the still-asleep-Connor. “Connor!” I yell, “Wake up!”
“I’m awake!” he playfully yells back.
Three bangs on our wall and then, “Keep it down over there, we’re trying to sleep!” It was seven o’clock in the morning. I tend to find myself waking up earlier than the majority of people.
“Way to wake up the other residents,” Connor laughs. “Now why, might I ask, did you wake me up from my super scary, yet extremely awesome nightmare? The thunderbird was just about to kill us all.”
“Thunderbird?”
“Long story. But basically it’s this bird that flies over a city and can control the weather within it. Oh, and it’s an evil bird so it doesn’t make sunshine and perfect temperature. No, it makes tornados, lightning, hurricanes, tsunamis, and etcetera. I think it breaks the list of the most intense dreams ever. But anyways, where’s your boyfriend?”
That’s the million dollar question. I look at the stand between our two beds and see a note. I glance down to the bottom and see Envy’s name signed in red pen ink. “I’m not sure, but he left a note.”
“What’s it say?”
I pick up the note - addressed to no one in particular - and read it inside my head.
Hey, Envy here. Worst nightmare ever last night. Woke me up super super early. Something about Japanese Demons just scares me senseless. Getting back on subject, though, I was awake really early, and I decided since the fourth quest doesn’t come to life until Friday, we have nothing to worry about at the current moment. So I may or may not have used the unlimited money on my chip to set up a wonderful day for you guys to enjoy. (Well, actually I did.) On the back of this note are the list of activities I have set up for you guys.
I didn’t flip the note over, just yet, I continued reading.
When the sun goes down, Christina, I need you to meet me at the Honolulu Express. It’s on the same Island you’re already on. Just go in and go to room sixty nine. There will be another note for you there. Oh, and come alone. I want this night to be special. Connor, sorry, but hoes before bros. You will be sleeping in room two hundred and thirteen of the same hotel. Envy
“What’s it say!?” Connor demands after he sees I’m finished reading the front page. “And what’s on the back?”
I flip over the note and read the activities Envy has planned out for us. Today was going to be a good day. No scratch that, awesome day. “Read it yourself. Try not to get too jelly.” I laugh as I hand the note over.
“HOES BEFORE BROS?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! HE HAS IT BACKWARDS.” Connor bellows out.
Six tremendously loud bangs on our wall and then, “Shut up before I go get the hotel manager!”
We both giggle at the madman on the other side as Connor flips over the note to read the list of activities. “Should we at all be worried about Envy not being here? You never really told me much about the whole calculator situation I missed while I was dead. I know the three of us couldn’t find his calculator, but with it still being out there somewhere, how do we know Envy hasn’t gone suicidal again. Or how do we know he hasn’t forgotten everything and gone on a killing spree. Should we be worried?”
